Old scouting reports pre draft say he was a very aggressive CB that worked in college but the fear was in the NFL, at his size, he'd be gambling and get beaten and bigger NFL Wr's would use his aggressiveness against him over power him and get the ball.
I honestly have never seen him play to my knowledge.
Fairly athletic but has some key flaws. He’s better suited for slot coverage In man coverage. Not much of a ball hawk as he has poor hands. He is aggressive but doesn‘t have the size and strength to impose his will. He might fare better with the Cards because they like to play zone. He has some burst to the ball so he can use his reactive response in zone to break up passes. A skill the Cards lack. In that system he’s likely okay as the number 2 corner. So basically he and Murphy have similar capabilities, though they’re not the same athletes. Assuming Gladney is not suspended, he’d be an upgrade.
I struggle to understand why he should be suspendedI assume it is a cheap deal with game day roster bonuses in case he does get a short suspension. I like the signing as low risk with some upside.
Indubes.Hopefully it’s a modest multi year deal because in a 1 year prove it and if he performs really well then we have to pay loads to keep him
Cussing out an official isn't a legal crime either. The NFL is perfectly within its rights to set its own code of conduct.I struggle to understand why he should be suspended
Being charged is a sin beside being found not guilty?
How the nfl put the league rules above the justice
Just to know how it works there

That's where I'm at with it. Not much of a downside--depending on years and numbers--and there's plenty of upside. At worst, he's terrible and doesn't make our defense better, but if he pans out, it'll be a huge bonus. Decent move, based on those parameters. Now, if it's a stupid 1-year "Keim time" special....grr...Worth the roll of the dice.
Agreed. Nice to see us signing a player who can reasonably outperform his deal. After resigning Colt, this is my favorite move so far.
Reclamation project.
Ha!So Keim drafts busts AND signs busts. Got it.
2 year deal is good. If he blows up in year 1, you restructure/extend next off-season, knowing that in 2024 cap increase and relief is coming.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Exactly. We have no other choice.Worth the roll of the dice.
He'd be RFA in third year with several options to retain.2 year deal is good. If he blows up in year 1, you restructure/extend next off-season, knowing that in 2024 cap increase and relief is coming.

But the thing you cite is within the game and the other is in a court and a not guilty verdict was given
Thanks for clarification.Cards will only get a 5th round compensatory pick for Chandler Jones being as he is a 10 year verteran.
