"Playing to win" would be taking the FG to make it a two-score game. Then again, I guess if they don't have any confidence in the kicker they had damn well better go get a new one.

you can second guess the call all day but at least it appeared they were playing to win

We were moving the ball down the field and a FG would have been perfectly ok there. Even a FG probably ends the game now.
