ESPN just had a pre draft show. They proclaimed Sean Taylor as the best player in the draft. Went so far as to say, he could be all pro in rookie year. They rated only Gallery and Taylor as instant impact players who can't miss. I sure as hell hope Cards have same feeling instead of a friendship factor. Everyone wants to trade up for Gallery, so that leaves Taylor to Cards. Do It. Do It. Do It.

I'd be very happy with Taylor. But I remember not to long ago how Andre Wadsworth was the "best player in the draft". The NFL is a different game - more potential for injuries, head-cases, agents and hold outs, and what not.

No matter how you break it down, IMO there is no such thing as a "can't miss".

Taylor has more chance to bust then Fitz.
There are more questions about Taylor then Fitz or Gallery.

Gallery is 99 percent bust proof.
Nothing is guaranteed.

Fitz is 99 percent bust proof.
Nothing is guaranteed.

Taylor is 97 percent bust proof. Bad work out questions about his tackling.

I get a kick out of all this Miami player talk. So far, I've read that Winslow, Vilma, Taylor, and Wilfork, are the best blah, blah, blah.

Were they national champions last year?

Did they have the best defense in the history of college football last year?

They should have, with all these "great" players.

Yup. Salisbury, Kiper and Cross.

But then again that is what every GM and PPD says also and they aren't saying it about anyone else except Taylor and Gallery.

And I hate to break the news to the obsessed Fitz fan, they didn't say it about Fitz. Boo Hoo.

If the Cards fail to select the best player in the draft it won't be the first time that happened. :)

This is the same Sean Salisbury that said Maurice Clarett was a 6th round talent.I like Taylor and hope we draft him.But Salisbury is still an idiot.

Haven't you guys read this quatraine?

Looks like we're draftin a Cane!!!

Sometimes we wake up Grumpy.

Other times we let him sleep.

Why can't you deal with the concept that 6 players from Miami might get drafted in the first round? The Cards suck and don't historically draft U of M players. Maybe they should.

P.S. They weren't #1, they were #5. They did that without an offense. Not bad. And arguably they did have the best defense in the country last year. The #s hint at it.

Clarett seems to be a lot closer to 6th than 1st, but we'll never know, since he can't be drafted ( maybe ).

You can think it's BS if you want to; but pretty much every expert and fan thinks these players are the best in this year's draft at their position.

I really don't like Miami, but these guys can play. I've seen it myself the past few years whenever I saw them on TV.

How exactly do you come up with such precise percentages???
Amazing simply amazing.

Shouldn't you be in school??

Well, I don't know.

I DO know I saw Miami in overtime in the national championship game here, and THAT Miami team had 2 players taken in the top twenty last year.

"Predictions"

1. Fitz' will catch 92% of the balls thrown to him.
2. Josh will make great strides this year, causing the rest of the league to say, "Well, what d'ya know". Green was "right"--again!!
3. Taylor will hit like a ton of bricks, instilling fear in ANY receiver foolish enough to cross his path, BUT he will NEVER be a solid tackler. He will return int.'s for TD's & change games in other ways besides tackling.
4. Coach Green & his staff will get MORE results than we're expecting in 2004 leading to off-season optimism for 2005.
5. K. Winslow will hold out till late in training camp, causing alot of grief, etc. BUT will STILL have an impact once he gets on the field.
6. "Steals" of the draft: B. Sanders-S-Iowa/ N. Kaeding-K-Iowa/ J. Jones-RB-Notre Dame/A. Carroll-CB-??

More power to Fitz but 92%? Thats a lot of ball to throw to one WR. What Boldin will be a decoy?

Okay, but what does that have to do with this year ? and those players that were in that game are the ones taken this year.

P.S. Miami actually won that NC.

Until the phantom call was made.
