I don't know how they determine these, but the name of the accolade is "Player of the week" so I would think not.

Two of his 3 FG's were shorter than XP kicks, and the 47 yard game winner wasn't what most would describe as a "pressure kick" as the game was tied.

Don't want to take anything from Cat, but you have to admit...All in all, those are kicks that an NFL kicker is expected to make.

I guess my criteria for giving this to a kicker, is drilling 1 or 2 from 50 plus, and/or hitting the game winner, when a miss means the game is over.

Isn't it strange how so many of us on this board need to see both Catanzaro and Butler be recognized in the media before we would acknowledge that they are not the terrible Special Teamers that we believed they were.

I was one of Butlers most vocal critics, and have publicly stated on these forums, that he seems to have figured it out. You can't argue that until recently.. Butler was one of the worst punters in the league.

Which in hindsight, tells me even further that I need to trust BA more, Butler was one of my few criticisms of BA, but as of now...it seems he knew what he had in Butler, and his patience paid off.

Hopefully I didn't just jinx Butler. :stick:

I am thrilled with Catman. Remember Rackers constant choking? Remember Feely unable to get a touchback?

Catman isn't perfect, but no kicker is. He is better at his job than any kicker I can can remember on this team. That's enough for me.
