If the Suns had lost to the Cavs this would have been a statement game. The Suns have nothing to go along with Nash to make them a good team anymore. Sarver and the FO needs to be thinking future.

I think that tonight's game showed that

IF we play a weak team and
IF Lopez starts off strong, so Frye doesn't have to be the man and
IF Frye then shows some force under the basket and
IF the opposition goes small and
IF Frye then gets some time at Center

THEN Warrick can make a contribution as the pick&roll guy for Steve, bringing some scoring and excitement to the Suns, even in closing the game.

Whew!

I'm not really sure if there are any more statements this team can make. We have a lot of average players and it's made worse by the fact they are less than the sum of their talents. AND, we're using Nash up. Send him to a happy place.

Sarver's off season signing have failed to produce and the recent trade did not improve the Suns now. So yes, if the Suns cannot give Nash at least a solid PF, all the marbles should be on the table. The Suns window has closed.

Frye with 16 and 12. How many of the haters are going to ignore that? Carter with 19 and 7, very nice, JRich-like numbers.

Any win is a good win right now, even if it's against a team of scrubs.

Gentry said he is going to start Frye at least for the next 9 games, I bet you Frye does not get 12 rebounds in any one of those 9 games. I also enjoyed the win, we really needed one tonight. I have been hard on Lopez, he looked good too, I hope he and Frye continue their good play. It would make those two watchable.:D

He and Lopez played pretty well tonight. The reason that we just barely beat a BAD Cleveland team is that we need these guys to play this well every night and we need 3 or 4 other guys to play even better. We didn't get the 3 or 4 better guys tonight. If we expect to win with Frye and Lopez as our top players we're going to be disappointed - very and often.

The Suns are not winning because they lack talent. Nash and Dudley are about it consistently.

Lopez looked better tonight against a horrible Cleveland team they kept it close. Lopez is useless unless he is rebounding and playing defense. Having said that he did look better against a depleted team. So, I am not sure that does anything to change my perception of that stiff.

Having said that, I think the Suns will take whatever win they can get right now.

Any win is a good win. I am quite impressed by Dudley. I thought he is just a good bench player but for the games he started or played more than 30mins, he produced quite effectively. Maybe it is time to bring Hill off the bench?

Looks like Gentry isn't too hot for Gortat right now.

Mmmm, one of the highlights is Nash passing to Lopez and Lopez got blocked badly. Man, he has to go up stronger than that.

Gortat had Lopezitus two games running now and picked up some quick fouls. I have said it before, Lopez scoring isn't what this team needs. They need him to play defense and rebound (which was pathetic again tonight). Not to mention he still had some pretty embarrassing moments in the game.

Agree with you on Dudley. I would like to see us try him in the starting lineup. I don't know what has changed for him but he seems to be playing at a different level this year.

Hill can't come off the bench. It just doesn't work. If anything start Dudley at the 2. Carter is alright, but you can tell the passion isn't really there. Gortat needs to be starting. Nash-Dudley-Hill-Frye-Gortat is my line-up of choice. I'd probably rely on Dudley and Frye to play heavy minutes nightly. Dragic-Dudley-Chill-Frye-Lopez for much of the second quarter. One of Carter / MP need to go and Warrick definitely does.

When he was going up for that shot that got blocked. i thought i mistakenly put the game on slow mo, he is so slow and timid.

I rewind it several time... I actually don't think he could reach the basket. lol It was the slowest and weakest thing from a 7'0 center. Not sure if he was trying to dunk over him or thought he wasn't going to contest the shot. I don't think the defender was trying hard to block him. That highlight is THAT bad. Oh my...

Hopefully they replay this several times during practice to fire Lopez up. With his size, he needs to be stronger.
