I think Over the cap has missed a $4m adjustment from a week or so ago.

which direction? Because even urban was reporting over 14 million in cap space prior to this cut earlier today. So the number sounds right?

I double checked.

It seems the difference is between top 51 and all.

Over the cap: $21m
Spotrac: $18.5m

Because Reddick isn’t worth $16 mil
One year transition is in the 13s.

Not great. But not agregious if you want to see him prove it one more time.

agreed. especially if you're going "all in" as people have continually said on the board.

Correct:

2021 NFL Salary Cap $182,500,000
2020 Rollover Cap $5,035,548
Adjustment $4,505,429

Field Yates also had the adjustment on his twitter post.

the problem isnt paying him $13

its paying him $13 and having all $13 hit this year's salary cap

with the cap gymnastics the league is doing, $13mm in cap space this year probably gets you three good players

Even 13 mil is restrictive, and I don’t want to pay that much to see if he’ll “prove it” one more time. I’d rather give Markus Golden, who’s had multiple double-digit sack seasons and is only 27-years-old, around $3.5 million and have money left over to fill holes at DB, WR2, and the offensive line.

Golden is 30 and slow, cant be a starter, and as a part time player isn't worth the salary he wants
Cardinals could offer 4 mil for 1 year, no more

$22.5 million with 13.5 million guaranteed, and he never played a regular season down for us. A lot of people thought this was an overpay from the start. It turned out to be one of the least productive contracts in Cardinal history.

When discussing what cap space we have left bear in mind that it doesn't include the rookie draft pool.

Which for us this year is about $5m.
