I'm a Chargers fan and let me tell you, your better off without him.

The guy is super SCARED of contact. He hates tackling and tries to avoid contact as much as he can.

And when he does occasionally try to tackle, he may be the worst tackling NFL player in the history of the NFL. Its quite embarrassing and shameful.

There are Charger fans who have cried watching Cromartie try to tackle a WR because they felt bad for him.

This is the lasting memory I have of Cro, of course this was in the playoffs too

AT THE RIGHT PRICE, Antonio makes sense.

The Cardinals need a third experienced cornerback and AC is definitely that. But it has to be a one or two year deal at the right price.

AC is coming off a very poor year, so a two-year deal with a significant increase in the second year including a roster bonus due early in the league year would make sense for both parties. If AC performs at a high level in 2014 he earns the second year. If not he's cut before the roster bonus is due.

Cromartie would need to come at the right price for me to be in though I agree we need to add a CB.

The worst part of that play is the ending. After not stepping up in the hole to tackle him, Cromartie chases him down and late-hits him from behind in the end zone (after Jets RB scored a TD). Totally weak move.

Cromartie is talented, but I struggle to see his fit in our defense. Most of the players I picture playing for the Cards add a big-time toughness element. Some of the draft pick favorites are downright nasty on the field (Barr, Dennard, Pryor and Lewan come to mind).

I still got my blizznunts crizznossed for some Antonio. Knock him all you want, and the hip too, but he's still an upgrade. If he doesn't have to me the man (PP is the man) than he can take a short contract and build up his worth here by playing in the playoffs, opposite of Patrick so he would definitely be in the mix and in the headlines. Heaven forbid if Peterson was ever sidelined, even for just a couple weeks, Antonio becomes even more valuable.

The rookie contacts are accounted for, we improved the other major gaps already through free agency. So chill on the worrying about how much Robert Deniro it's going to take to get the ink on. Disner and Keim must be still in Cromartie's ear, because we still haven't gotten the dial tone. We are making a run this year and this guy fits well, those wishing he won't be here need to come up with some better options, both financially and in talent, before they just go and say they don't want him here. You'd be hinting that you could run this org better than Keim can though, ya dig?

Word is that the Jets won't be pursuing Cromartie. His asking price should drop, but you have to wonder how much of an upgrade he'll be if his current team doesn't want him back.

kinda like how the rams and NYG gave up on kurt warner?

I dont think that teams willingness should have any effect on anyone opinion of if he is worth bringing in.

I see your point, but on a one-year 'prove-it' contract, he has all the motivation in the world to have a good year.

He's would be playing the #2 receiver instead of the #1. It's not like he doesn't have cover corner ability. He has rare size-speed measurables. But he had a very bad year in 2013. No one in their right mind is going to give him a long-term deal after that.

He certainly has a whole lot more upside than Mike Jenkins.

Sure there are examples of players who everyone else gave up on that have bounce back years but there are plenty more examples where a team has given up on a player and he never does return to how good he once was.
He wasn't very good last year so it's a risk no matter how you look at it and hopefully if the Cards do sign him it will be a contract that mitigates that risk as much as possible.

like abraham?

or maybe dansby?

Name me 3 higher end jets players that the jets let walk in the last 4 years and they failed miserably on their next team.

Thats not enough to prove to me that we are better off with Bethel and McCann.

I love bethel, big fan, would love to see him start but ONLY if he can beat out starting calibur competition.
