Cromartie said that they were going to make it happen. I guess we'll see.

No they won't, PP is going to go to the front office and ask them to sign Cro... front office is going to tell him how much Cro wants and what that will mean to PP's future contract and PP is going to say we do not need the Cro bar lol

Hope it happens..Our secondary would get a nice boost and one less draft need...

As long as it's not the 2013 version of Cromartie as he was pretty bad last year. The Cards need to protect themselves if he continues to play poorly and Cromartie is going to try to get as much guaranteed money as he can. I really hope the Cards sign him to a favorable contract because there is a lot of risk there.

but is really strange that a player like cromartie had just 1 visit with a team(cardinals).
is also strange another player, very solid ,like chris clemons the safety and not the pass rusher was not mentioned by any sites ,,apparently he didnt have any visits.
i hope we sign him

“Nothing happening” with Cromartie and the Cardinals

Several of you have pointed out an interesting Twitter exchange between Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson and free-agent cornerback Antonio Cromartie.

“Nothing [is] happening,” the source said regarding the possibility of Cromartie joining the Cardinals. The source added that the Twitter messages aren’t surprising, because Peterson has been actively recruiting Cromartie to join the team.

Nothing is happening is different than nothing will happen. If NYG wins the battle over NYJ for DRC, then I don't see any other team competing with ARZ for Cromartie. Even if ARZ loses out on Cromartie, I would be fine re-signing Cason & either bringing in Mike Jenkins or drafting a CB.

So Cromartie is making things up on twitter?....Sounds like he is still in the mix for the Cardinals....

I bet he's mulling it over. I'm thinking the Cardinals made him a fair market value, but he probably thinks he should be able to see some of the money the upper end guys got. I bet he signs with us eventually. Dansby and Winston were in that boat last year.

Probably pretty humbling to think you're worth X amount of money, only to find that you were way off.

Thought you might like to see how controversial San Diego's pick of Antonio Cromartie was at #19 in the 2006 NFL Draft. If you watch the video long enough, wait till you see what all the ESPN pundits had to say about the selection.

In retrospect, the Chargers had it right...many of ESPN's crew had it way wrong. Check it out! It's a fun ten minutes.

Giants reportedly have a deal with Thurmond of Seattle, so I would think that they are not pursuing either Cromartie.

According to Twitter, it seems after some confusion as to his whereabouts, that CRO was attending mass in Phoenix today. This was confirmed by a certain Pastor Tommy Barbett.

Tommy Barnett, who is the senior pastor at Phoenix First Assembly, was a guest speaker at The Life Christian Church of New Jersey yesterday and today. So Cro is not in Phoenix anymore.

I read somewhere that Cro & his agent Ben Dogra were in town Saturday (visit was Thur & Fri) negotiating with ARZ. I believe it was on the Revenge of the Birds website but is not anymore so maybe someone jumped the gun or was misinformed. I also read BAL could be interested in AC but after re-signing Monroe & Pitta how do they have any $$$ left?

I kinda figured he is looking for his last contract,....and the team offered him a one or two year prove it deal due to his injuries and drop in production last season....possibly very incentive laced with limited guarantees....of course the player wants all the guarantees they can get...especially with injury history.

NFL Network reporting DRC visited both the Giants and Jets this weekend and is staying in New York.

The team that doesn't get him goes after Antonio possibly? Don't know but still hope we can work something out.

I hope the cardinals somehow snag Cromatie we really need a solid/decent cb 2 next to Peterson. So is Cason still signed on for another year or is he a fa? Also any shot even a slim shot the Cardinals would look at talking with DRC?

Cason is a FA and Cardinals would never pay for DRC.

I'm a Chargers fan and let me tell you, your better off without him.

The guy is super SCARED of contact. He hates tackling and tries to avoid contact as much as he can.

And when he does occasionally try to tackle, he may be the worst tackling NFL player in the history of the NFL. Its quite embarrassing and shameful.

There are Charger fans who have cried watching Cromartie try to tackle a WR because they felt bad for him.

This is the lasting memory I have of Cro, of course this was in the playoffs too
