Nice to see that the Suns are getting away from all of those paint points. That part of the offense was really inconsistent last year.

Joe Johnson at only 15 is a surprise. Foreshadowing the postseason, perhaps? :(

even when Joe Johnson gets a slamdunk most of the time it's more like he drops the ball into the basket. Of course that's probably safer anyhow. The one time he really tried to hammer it home he broke his face. :)

JJ is more inclined to shoot a floater than a jam in the set offense and on the break goes to the corner for a three.

The sad part is that his lack of experience at getting hit when in the air probably contributed to his being hurt. Guys who get hit a lot are used to falling. Look at Manu...

Is Manu sponsoring a Flop Camp this summer?
I think we should send JJ and Jake. JJ so he can learn to fall without getting hurt, and Jake because if he develops an effective flop, I can see him breaking into the rotation.

So true, I mean, obviously if you don't dunk the ball, its pretty much impossible to score in the paint on say, layups, floaters, hooks, or short jumpshots...

Haha, when was it that Barbosa got up? :)

I haveto go with Joe Mama on this one though.. I'm sure his inconsist dunking in games led to the fall that broke his face..

that was George. I was pointing out that JJ really doesn't ever dunk the ball. He sort of drops it in theahe basket with two hands. Personally I don't think that had much to do with his injury. That just looked like a freak thing to me.

How did Kurt Thomas only have 2 dunks? I mean the dude is large, he should have at least thrown down at least 20 more.

He's a jump shooter. His shooting average is almost as good as the guys who only make layups, but he's standing 12 to 15 feet out.

I would guess he will learn to make layups with the Suns, because he will have the weird experience of being left wide open under the basket. I'm guessing that did not happen much with the Knicks and Marbury wouldn't have pased him the ball anyway.
