CD Rom drives went away

So, I was trying to set up a slave hard drive and well i guess the hard drive is defective. However, damnit, the my dvd burner and cd rom drives are gone. WTF.

I didn't even screw with them. I hate computers. Suggestions?

You need to set your slave drive to "cable select" on the jumpers

They are set up that way. The cable to the motherboard came loose.
