I just saw that he is batting .218 with RISP on the season. You can blame the hitting coach all you want but this guy is a hold over from seasons past where the team was hitting decently and this really isn't anything new for him.

This team needs a HR threat, Josh Byrnes knows this because he addressed it on the weekly D'back show.

Dude hasn't done anything this year. His D is horrendous, he is probably the worst hitter I've seen against lefties, he's not clutch like you mentioned (RISP)

4 years in the league, and he's only gotten worse.

Any rumors that have him going anywhere?

Dunno why we're so high on this guy...

He needs to go or at least learn how to be somewhat productive against LH pitching.

How his (and Drew, Hairston, Snyder, Quentin) lack of production gets thrown under the rug while most of the scorn goes to Jackson is beyond me. All those guys have underperformed, at least CoJack can draw a walk which can be just as good as a single. A fact someone should tell Chad 'Swing for the Fences' Tracy.

I've been slamming Chris Snyder for quite awhile.

Here lies within the reason why Bob Melvin is accountable for most of the failures. He again destroyed those young hitters by placing in the line-up trying to force them to adjust opposed to hitting the players at parts of the order that better suited them respectively.

He placed Drew at lead-off for no apparent reason. Drew isn't the type who is accustomed to taking several pitches, but he had him alter his approach in an experiment that immediately was deemed a failure.

Obviously, who can fathom why Melvin insists on hitting either CoJack or Tracy at clean-up. They of course (as you mentioned about Tracy) pull off the ball, but they spray the ball with ease whenever they bat in a part of the line-up that complements their strengths.

Hairston has proven time and time again that he's nothing more than a "AAAA" player and would have been demoted by now if he wasn't out of options and unfortunately I don't think anyone would be interested in trading for him. He has absolutely no redeemable value, he's no longer a prospect either.

Montero has started 2 consecutive games, so perhaps Melvin has finally caught-on in that regard.

I think Quentin rushed back too prematurely from his injury which might explain part of his woes, it's definitely too early to give-up on him.

How old ism Tracy?? Doesn't matter cuz he plays like he is 37 years old!!

Oh, I would trade Quentin in a heartbeat... He's right now worth more than he'll ever be in his career!

Quentin never really recoop'd from his shoulder tear. Which is pretty serious.

Tracy never really recoop'd from his suckingass syndrome. Quentin's at least given us 1 good year. Tracy's sucked all 4.

I wouldn't mind packaging them for another SP though.

Would you guys trade him for Dallas McPherson in a straight swap?

Also, if you could go back retroactively and change your views on the Glaus vs. Tracy argument, would you?

The guy strikes out too much and really doesn't provide anything more with his bat than Tracy does.... besides he's pretty much out for the season.

Give me Casey Kotchman

McPherson is/was a bust. As Ryan pointed out he strikes out constantly and rarely walks. And that's when he is actually on the field which is very rare.

I'd love to have Kotchman, just don't know why the Angels would give him up for a less productive and more expensive player in Chad Tracy.

In 2005 Tracy had a very good year. Last year he was pretty productive too. Still, we do need more from the corner infielders so I'd have no problem with trading him.

Snyder has been doing much better at the plate after being moved up. And don't forget, it's hard to be productive when your in the 8th spot. I do agree we need a home run hitter but the last time we traded a young guy, he actually performed well afterwards(Lyle Overbay). Hopefully Chad can stay healthy and be productive but we have some logjams that we need to take care of.
