If the Bidwills didn't have the bubbly on ice this Sunday...with NFC West Champions shirts and hats...something they haven't had to think about for 42 years...they'd better be packing them to Philly.

Go win this thing, Cardinals!

Wanna see y'all dousing each other and going wild!!!

We'll get it at home against the Rams. It'll be more fun that way.

I hope they don't celebrate this silly division win. They should have bigger fish to fry.

Smile...jump around a bit, then back to business. No need for shirts and hats and bubbly. That's not our goal...just a step on the way to it.

I don't think teams do the celebratory thing for just a division win. I only recall it for Conference and SB wins.

If we do it for winning the west...I think we'd pretty much be a laughingstock.

Just my two cents.

Go Cards!!!

Sorry to disagree. This teamearns the right to celebrate every seasons first goal....win the division.
Do you think Seattle cared that the rest off the division was subpar over the last 5 years?
I'm not saying to plan a parade or anything , but they certainly have the right to enjoy their accomplishment, especially considering it's something this franchise hasn't done in over 30 years.

Besides that, I want a NFC WEST DIVISION CHAMPS SHIRT!

I think the Cards have every reason to celebrate if they beat Philly. It's not like we have a crappy record and are backing our way into the division. It's not our fault the rest of the division is crap. and lets face it their has not been a lot to celebrate over the years.

WE can yell a lot if we beat Philly. We beat the Bills (were 4-0), We beat the Cowpokes (one of the SB picks) and if we win we will be 8-4 !!!! With 4 games to play, and division winners....WOW that would be sweet.

definitely celebrate it - when players give their stock goals the first one is always win the division, it's not an easy thing to accomplish and most teams celebrate it

Consider This Sobering Thought.

I'm Old School. I live in Greater NYC. I'm superstitious. I've spent 61 years intimately following the Cardinals.

We haven't won anything yet.

Try this on for size -

"How would we all feel if SF or Seattle ran the table and we embarked on a 5-game losing streak to blow the whole deal?"

It's the kind of thing we're famous for doing. (Remember the "It's Who We Thought They Were" Bears game).

I remember another Cardinal - Eagle game where we had scored the "winning" FG to ice the game with practically no time on the clock. The phone rang. It was my son, Stu. "Yay! We won!" he exclaimed. "Stop it!" I scolded (in my best Chris Kattan voice). Then I hung up just as the Cardinal kick-off was returned a gazillion yards for the winning Philly TD.

We each have our favorite "how we lost" Cardinal story. So...The closest thing I'll have to having bubbly on ice will be maybe to keep a bottle in the garage (where at this time of year in NJ it's barely above freezing anyway) and - if and when we clinch - I'll bring it in and pop the cork.

But not a moment earlier - these is the Cardinals!

I don't see either of those teams winning more than 2 games the rest of the way. I see the Cards TCB in the division, with a shot to beat PHI and MIN.
2 or 3 wins the rest of the way.

Well, we have champagne in the fridge and we're going to pour it on each other if we clinch.

Should the team? You betcha!

That's what I was saying...and I think it would be great if this gave the team a little added incentive to win it outright Thursday night.

I wasn't counting chickens...just bottles of champagne and ecstatic faces.

My gut feeling right now is that we'll back into the division when SF loses at Buffalo on Sunday.

I'd love to see it happen Thursday night, but I'm not counting on it. We should be able to beat the Eagles, but we also don't do a lot of the things we should do...

Yes, you've gotta celebrate ANY football milestone. Especially for us with the history that we've had...you know; it's been X number of years since the Cardinals have done ________(fill in the blank) So any good thing that happens to us is a big deal and needs to be celebrated accordingly. :band:

does anyone remember 1988? We were 7-4 and atop the NFC East having just beaten the 49ers (who went on to the Win the Super Bowl) and the Giants in back to back games... then Lomax went down and we lost 5 in a row.

anything can happen.
