Wow, Gailey is going to do two interviews at once. That is impressive for a guy of his age.

The only thing I can think of is that the Cardinals are trying to put pressure on the Steelers to make their decision...and maybe this would put pressure on them to hire Gailey so the Cards can take another run at Russ Grimm (who according to Ron Wolfley, "blew them away" in his interview).

I think Grimm is going to get the Steelers' job...and the interview with Gailey will only further delay this already "exhaustive" (as Nidan so aptly put it) process.

Not real...unless Gailey can be in two spots at once.

After they interview Gailey, the Steelers will begin paring their list of candidates and conduct second interviews next week with those who make the final cut.

.
Add Pitt to the list of Miami and AZ of being a "joke of a hiring process"

Hopefully you heard it wrong Skkorp.

Or, are you trying to get everyone riled up again! :hulk:

Just heard it again, but it is in the sports update break-in only. Neither Gambo nor Ashe have said anything about it.

In the Post-Gazette article they said that the Steelers "could" name a new coach "by the end of next week". Pittsburgh must be equally as clueless as the Cards since they aren't immediately naming Cowher's successor.

I guess they didn't like what they heard from any other candidates and are now scraping the bottom rung. Norv Turner should be up next
I actually think Turner would work wonders with the offense.

If Grimm was that impressive (although impressing the Bidwills and being a good coach are not exactly synonymous) then they should have thrown everything but the kitchen sink at him before he left town. And if not then, then definitely now while the Steelers are still interviewing candidates. Grimm would take the AZ job if he believes in the old adage that a bird in hand is better than two in the bush.

And as far as Gailey goes, it's already been said ad nauseum so I won't pile on.

When the media corrects this (or more likely, stops saying it) we can file it under "One more example of the media looking like total asses" that seems to have been happening over and over again these last couple of days.

Skkorp is right, I just heard it on the KTAR update at 3. I quote "The Cards are adding Chan Gailey into the mix by bringing him in for an interview tomorrow."

Not questioning that Skkorp heard it. But unless they are teleconferencing in on the Steelers interview, it ain't gonna happen.

KTAR screwed the pooch.

Rumor has it that Wayne Fontes is on a new short list of coaches..

Not to mention that Art Shell has all of the sudden gained interest. Maybe Wayne Fontes with Art Shell as CO-head coaches?? Why not, they have tried everything else! :D

I knew the Cards were reading this board. One day after I say little people are being ignored, hire Flutie.

I have to warn the board now this could go to my head.

:D
