You're right. There is always to sides two every tale. LoL I feel like Mitch with BSP...

I dont know. I just sometimes get a feeling about certain players and this guy just seems to have "it". Last year he went on a "humility search" he calls it. Sounds like the guy saw that nothing was going to come to him unless he really worked at it. Ended up earning the starting spot at tore it up. If the light really did go on for him this could end up a really good signing. You're right though. I'm leaning more on faith than logic but hey, its the Cardinals. For years we dreamed of a SB and now were among the top teams fighting for it. My dream is for an elite pass rusher and this guy has really caught my interest.

I'll post the interview he gave me later today.

What do you mean by "it?" Humility? Because humility isnt going to get you on the roster. Talent is. Something I feel this guy sorely lacks. Not to mention size.

It really depends on if he makes it or not.

Baring injury Haggans, Cody Brown, and Will Davis are locks to make it. So that means he is currently fighting it out with Mark Washington for the 4th and maybe last OLB spot. Now if we draft a guy anywhere in the 1st 3 rounds then Baggs is going to have to hope that we keep 5 OLB's. Which really isnt out the realm of possibility. But he would still ahve to fight it out with Mark Washington, and probably some UDFA's or a 2nd draft pick for the 5th and final spot.

I would guess that his chances are about what any other add-on could expect with this team. Whiz has encouraged open competition for positions, and I am sure he will be given his opportunties to excell just as are the other competitors. What he is willing to do with that opportunity is up to him. If he works hard enough, he may just land a job here. This is the thing that I really like about Whiz. He 'really' does let them have a chance to compete for a job, and the rest is up to the player. That approach has served us well so far, and I don't see Whiz changing at this point in his tenure with the Cards.

I think that with the size of the question mark at that position the Cards will carry 5 OLBs. It's such an important position in the 3-4 that one of these guys really had to work out for the defense to be successful, IMO.
