“We have seen things on the practice field from Matt every day, things everyone doesn’t see, that leads us to believe he is going to be a good quarterback,” Whisenhunt added.
I really hope he is right. Because I haven't seen it. Of course it does say "going to be" good which leads me to ask, when?

Whiz is splitting hairs. No one is suggesting a complete overhaul of the playbook such as would happen if the coaching staff overturned; the play calling within the same offense that exists WILL change.

I cannot wait for the season to start so I can laugh at all of the media and posters hating on Matt. "Again in '10" (as in winning the division, not losing in the playoffs :) ) is the phrase of this coming season.

Spot on...I am disappointed in a whole lot of the "tudes I see around. Matt has less on field experience by far than young or cutler. A full yeart of experience will be the tale of the tape. I think he is going to turn out real good. Not that much tweaking neededn on the offense....,compared to the defense.

Why would there be? Take out one pocket QB and insert another with comparable arm strength. Hopefully he can make the same great decisions Kurt Warner would make.

Perhaps comparable arm strength, IA, but nowhere near comparable toughness in the pocket to wait until the last split second for the WR to break open and deliver an accurate pass with a quick snap release.

But more mobility to buy time when things break down and not be a sitting duck in the pocket.

Warner was/is a tough SOB, but he needed to be because he was a statue in the pocket.

Or the fact that Matt can buy time with his legs. After 2 seconds of holding onto the ball, I got nervous about Warner taking the sack and/or fumbling.

Mitch, I used to think the same thing about Warner but then I started watching the frame by frame from my dvr's of games and Warner was getting the ball out as quickly as any QB I've ever seen this season. Not waiting until the last split second but making split second decisions on where the ball needed to go. It was, to say the least, impressive. Most time less than 1.5 seconds would run off the clock from snap to release.

The guys that watched the games with me were even more impressed with how far downfield the WRs could get in such a short time.

This is the tantalizing thing, Duckjake. Kurt's game had evolved so beautifully this year, he was painting Rembrants left and right. It's such a shame he's gone...for we could have seen even greater masterpieces from him.

I hope Larry Fitzgerald gives KW a call at the end of May...

LF: Hey, whussup?

KW: Hanging with the family.

LF: Missing me?

KW: Yup.

LF: Mind if I tell whiz?

KW: Nope. Go for it.

That would be a dream come true.

I'd love to see Kurt Warner come back, but the way he was getting hit I'd rather see him retire than come back and get more concussions. I'm more in agreement with his decision to retire and be healthy than to come back and risk not being ok for the rest of his life. Does he not have a higher chance of having a more severe one if he was to get another right now?
