I agree. We will never beat a team like the Spurs in a 7 game series, or even the Pistons for that matter, running this offense. They have the depth and defensive ability to completely take us out of our game. Once we get in a halfcourt set, we are completely screwed

This is just not true. Our half court offense is not the best in the league of course, but its not terrible either - we scored enough points with pretty good FG% to beat the Spurs in 5 games (and we would have done it with Amare in game 5 as well). It was our inconsistent defense and rebounding which cost us the series.

I think the ideal would be to enhance our style with more variety. Reduce Nash's ball handling duty by 50% and diversify it by allowing Amare, LB, and Diaw facilitate the offense more. Try to develop Amare's lowpost game, and make LB control himself better like Parker. Use a deeper bench. We should be fine.

Playing style is fine.

What irks me is that we give so much space to a guy like Ginobili and Parker when they're winding down the clock. Why just stand there? Take away their space and make them pass!

If our defense can play tough, that opens up a whole new world for our offense.

Everybody kept dissing the Indianapolis Colts for their lackluster defense. They later won the Superbowl. They took out a defensive monster in Baltimore and an old foe (think San Antonio) in New England.

Think the Suns can't accomplish that? If so then you're not a believer.

Thank you. Everyone says the style doesn't work. So far it hasn't. But that doesn't mean the team hasn't been successful while running it. In 3 years the team has never gone through the post season with a full and healthy roster. Excuses? Sure. But also makes it tough to judge how far the team can go.

This season is the closest we've seen, and the team got bounced in a hard fought series against their nemesis. It wasn't the offense's fault, though, because they scored plenty of points. It really wasn't the defense either, as it was fairly impressive for most of the series.

I'd say the Suns just got beat. Couldn't catch a break, the Spurs played well down the stretch, and the Suns just plain lost. It's a learning experience, and this team will be even better next year.
