I can't join the criticism of Bradford without having seen what he was able to see of his receivers. One of the announcers at one point said they were well covered down field. To me, the biggest criticism at this point lies with Wilks and Keim. Both the offense and the defense seem in disarray. At one point during the telecast they showed the large contracts the Rams signed with several players. By comparison, the Cardinals did very little. And we know that Keim's drafts have been generally poor. He also let players such as John Brown get away leaving the Cardinals with too many new receivers.

He had all day on one play and missed a wide open RSJ. Fitz was wide open on his first down catch, but had to dive to catch the awful throw. Bradford is who we (the realists) thought he was--a never-has-been.

Mike McCoy sucks...not a shock. Sam Bradford sucks...not a shock. Our head coach is over his head...a little shock. But what do I know, I am just a "JoeFan". I can't possibly know more than our GM who gets blitzed and drives home...
He sure wasted his DUI . Tonight would have been the time . Cops might have let it slide. Lol

Said it when we hired him: McCoy is trash. I never understood why he was given a reputation as being good at his job. The D doesn’t worry me. Bowles D looked like dog Poo the first 4 weeks. Our O wasn’t high school level though.

I'll post it again, McCoy sucks and Bradford blows and the D is a sieve. Maybe the D can be salvaged as they get the scheme down but if we can't get DJ to make plays then the O stands no chance.

Bradford looks like Skelton now and it's killing us. Not getting DJ to make an impact is confusing and ridiculous.

I don't think McCoy is the issue (or at least, the main issue)

I saw various 3rd down passes where Bradford had a deeper throw available, but choose the short throw. there were a couple where he actually choose a more covered short throw instead of something deeper.

I also think we have a defensive oriented HC who is so conservative that McCoy operates within a pretty tight range of options.

It isn't even that we have no talent. Of course we have some glaring holes, but which team doesn't? We have 2 elite players on defense (PP, CJ) and offense (DJ, Fitz). We have several pieces that have shown that they can do the job in the past, but are now underperforming.

As for the defense, I get it. Change from a blitz heavy man coverage style to a strict zone defense is as tough as it gets. Will take at least a year and some new pieces in the front to get it going, possibly even 2 years. But on offense, even the most lackluster teams manage to score and move the ball a bit. We need more creativity. I'd argue that there are less talented offenses that move the ball much better because they scheme players open.

If McCoy can't get it going by midseason, he should be fired. Wilks should get another season to show what he can do, unless a total loss of the locker room becomes evident.

Thanks god we have Rosen, so we can at least get a bit excited. Our schedule is really tough for a month or so, but then it softens a bit. Should Bradford survive it, it would be the perfect time to take a look at Rosen by midseason.

You sure are talking about Cardinals?

The schedule next 6 games is easy by NFL standards.

Wilks should be evaluated at the end of season too. If this is what they can show with a healthy team, think how ugly it is going to get once inevitable injuries starts to pile up.

The Denver Broncos have fired offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

After a 3-1 start to the season, Denver has lost six consecutive games after losing to the Cincinnati Bengals 20-17 on Sunday. The Broncos have scored just 18.3 points per game this season, the ninth-worst mark in the league. During their six-game skid, Denver has scored 14.2 points per contest.

McCoy is really outdoing himself so far, through two games the offense is averaging 3.0 PPG.
