Charles Barkley showed a mean crossover to insult Fox News Thursday while covering March Madness for CBS. (Watch the video below.)

The basketball great took issue with colleague Kenny Smith picking his alma mater North Carolina, a No. 11 seed, to win the NCAA tournament.

“Are you serious?” Barkley asked. “Y’all make fun of me for being unbiased?”

“Listen, I don’t lie about being biased,” Smith snapped back.

“We’re supposed to be unbiased,” Barkley added later.

“No, you’re not!” Smith exclaimed.

“What are we, Fox News?!” Barkley said with a shriek. “What are we, Fox News in here now? This ain’t Fox News. You don’t have to repeat everything the idiots say every day.”

Barkley picked Auburn, where he starred as a collegian before his Hall of Fame NBA career, to lose in the national semifinal. Auburn, the overall No. 1 seed, defeated Alabama State, 83-63, on Thursday, in the first round.

Barkley recently had a limited-run talk show on CNN, Fox News’ left-leaning counterpart.

UNC plays its first-round game on Friday against Ole Miss after winning a play-in matchup.
