And look at how clean his pockets are. Look at how big the holes he runs through are. It's scary, because a lot of his big throws, the closest defender is 7 yards away and he's throwing to a receiver with 10 yards of separation.

OU just out talented and out coached so many of their opponents. How will Kyler Murray play when facing the pressure Rosen faced?

The most overlooked part of this. The top 2 QBs in this draft played on great teams with tons of talent and two of the best head coaches. Please don't try to make sense here. People want to live in a fantasy world instead

These were the worst comments I ever got on a top-rated quarterback and I’ve been doing this a long time. . . . Leadership — not good. Study habits — not good. The board work — below not good. Not good at all in any of those areas - Charlie Casserly

This is a very disturbing report on many fronts if the Cardinals are willing to overlook these claims. The Red Birds are looking dysfunctional. It's "not good".

Probably just means other teams desperately want him

It just felt like kind of a sour grapes post (but I think Chopper is generally a great poster). Like "yeah he did good, but he still might suck". Really?

Didn't care for the sentiment.

Chopper did not use any negative adjectives. It's a truth, you do not know what you have till a few seasons... sincerely the now defunct UT homer Vince Young club, plus we have extra t-shirts still available :)

Charley Casserly recently put out his 1st Mock Draft. He had some interesting comments regarding Nick Bosa and Kyler Murray related to the Cardinals.

Nick Bosa-Best player in the draft. Better than Jadeveon Clowney and Myles Garrett coming out of college.

Kyler Murray-If Kingsbury believes Murray is the best quarterback for his system the Cards should take him at #1. Having 2 young and talented QB’s at a low price is a really good thing.
Casserly also wrote an article saying kyler Murray gave the absolute worst interview he's ever heard at the combine. Not that the interview translates to anything on the field though. He did however go on to question his leadership.

Idk how Murray would've fared passing with the cardinals off line last yr but I think he would've been able to escape some of the hits Rosen took. That being said, give me a taller QB with a good passing arm, good off line & at least Aaron Rodgers escapability. Hope they keep Rosen.

“I’ve personally spoken with the majority of teams that he met with [at the Combine} and everyone was glowing about their conversations with Kyler,” Riley told Dan Patrick. “Basically the complete opposite of what Charley said.”

Riley also said Casserly is incorrect in saying Murray is not a good leader.

“Kyler was a tremendous leader for us,” Riley said. “All he cares about is winning. I think our team took on his personality.”

Casserly might be getting used

PROFOOTBALL TALK
Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley believes NFL Network commentator Charley Casserly is peddling bad information about quarterback Kyler Murray.

Although Casserly described Murray’s interviews with NFL teams at the Scouting Combine as disastrous, Riley said he has personally spoken to most of the teams that talked to Murray and doesn’t believe Casserly’s claims are true.

Riley may have his own motives to talk up Murray — he would like to be known as the coach who developed a baseball prospect into the first overall pick in the NFL draft — but he is also in a better position than anyone else to assess what kind of player Murray is. And Riley has nothing but glowing things to say about his quarterback.

This is a no-brainer to me. Take Bosa and circle back to Murray IF you really want him. Many years ago the baseball Cardinals traded Keith Hernandez, an all-star 1st basemen, to the Mets. Playing in the same division as them, Hernandez haunted the Cardinals for the next several years! Bosa as a 49er will kill us ... BANK ON IT!

One thing to consider is that Casserly might be telling 100% the truth based on LEAKED information from a team trying to drive down Murray's stock. Lots of smokescreens in this draft so far.

So easy to sit back and stay "yeah, but he might have a bad year next year".

That one's a little on the weak side Chopper.
I will make the same argument next year if he has a bad year. The league adjusts. What makes a QB a long term success is his ability to adapt to those changes. He is off to a great start. No denying that. But, RGIII had a great first year and went to crap after that for a variety of reasons. That is the NFL.

The Cardinals just had to have the #1 pick the one year there is no real story. That's really what this is all about. No consensus #1. No interesting anything. Just a draft DEEP in defensive players and a media that has to pay the bills.

I agree with you 100% that Bosa will be a nightmare for the Cardinals, but they CAN NOT take him....Cards run a 3-4 front....Bosa is 100% a 4-3 DE. You'd be essentially drafting a guy not to use him, but so that another team can't.
Putting Bosa in a 3-4 is dumb....just draft a WR and turn him into a CB. If you want the DE you draft Josh Allen who is a textbook future all pro 3-4 DE.
If the 9ers get Bosa and he matches up with DJ Humphries...it's over. Put Bosa down for 3 sacks, 7 QB hits and 12 hurries a game.

49 days till we all find out...it's gonna be a LONG LONG 49 days

Casserly had to hear what he did from somebody.I doubt he made it up.Like others said it could be a smokescreen to lower Murrays draft value or it could be factual. If there is any doubt about Murrays leadership, character, poise, work ethic etc; all these questions need to answered to the teams satisfaction.Big Red flags in my opinion until the issue is resolved.
