I hate this thread. Count me among the minority that is not in the least worried about MHJ, and believe that he will come back next year killing it.

I hope so. But for context, this year Marv only had 40 more yards than washed AJ Green had with us in 2021, and Marv had 24 more targets.

I think its reasonable to assume in year two MHJ makes a jump in terms of performance, but I guess the question is, how much of a jump will he make?

What are your guys' (and the ladies as well) expectations for him next year in terms of yards/TDs/YPC/ etc?

I expect for him to take the step into the next tier of wideouts with a line like 85/1050/12.

I'd love for him to take two steps up and be like 95/1200/15.

That's not context, that is called confirmation bias. Those were vastly different offenses, so you can't compare them across the board. Green also had double the yards of Hopkins that season too and we had no WR or TE over 1000 yards, but we have 4600 receiving yards.
Now, that is context.

He's going to be better yes.

Again the things IMO he HAS to improve at

1) Catching contested balls, high pointing, going to get the ball

2) Getting more separation, better routes etc

And I might as well add run after catch which he never did this year

If Big Play Trey can be a 110 catch guy, there's certainly no reason why MHJ can't be a 90 catch guy.

It's on K1 and MHJ to work on the chemistry and timing, but I think with a full offseason of work they can improve at least some. How much is the question.

I think many are forgetting that Larry didn't take the leap to elite status until Warner, Haley, etc challenged him to be great.

Hopefully Arch Manning has the same effect on MHJ!

Probably but that’s the expectation. I didn’t see anything to make me think we have the next Ja’Marr Chase on our hands, so I expect incremental progress.

It would be, but we have to lower our expectations after seeing him play. If he hits 1050 he can be a bottom tier WR1 in this league that we hope can get better.

Yes. Malik Nabers had 109/1200/4 in a terrible WB situation. Lamb had similar numbers in Dallas.

Amari Cooper had 82/1250/5 in Cleveland last year. I imagine that’s very close to Chamin’s ceiling in this offense.
