Drake was a disaster last year...not sure who told him to gain weight, but he definitely didn't have the same burst in 2020.

Just giving Drake carries to someone else is a win.

when you average 4 yards a carry and have double digit TDs you aren’t a disaster. It wasn’t what any of us expected or hoped for sure. But “disaster” is pure over the top hyperbole.

Quote whatever stats you want - Drake at the end of 2019 was a revelation, and our offense was largely successful at the end of the year because of our focus on the run. 2020 Drake was a completely different player, and his lack of effectiveness last year was a big reason our offense didn't make a huge leap in 2020.

Call it a failure if you'd prefer that to disaster, but it's obvious the Cards had no interest in bringing Drake back.

He had the 2nd fastest recorded time on a run last year. He only trailed Raheem Mostert.

That's weird that the DK Metcalf running down Budah Baker isn't listed.

The play calls for Drake were much worse than his performance.

I don't think so.....at all.

Drake left a TON of yards on the field. He is the case study for a back not getting all of the yards that were there. Drake was at his best when he cut once and was patient.

Cool, talk to me about one play the whole season where he was fast, that's really moving the conversation forward!

When he came to the Cards in 2019, he rushed for 643 yards and eight touchdowns while also catching 28 passes for 171 yards. He finished in the top-25 in PPR scoring at his position in six of the eight games that he played for the Cardinals.

Last year was so bad that he went from potential blossoming playmaker to the Cards showing zero interest in re-signing him, and he signed to be a BACKUP!!!

I mean they ran a lot of the same plays and Drake just looked different. It seemed to me that he was a lot more hesitant/worried about contact. In 2019 he just ran through people.

Drake just never was a good, starting RB. I said it from the starting gun. He's a complementary piece.
