How much is too much for Holliday? We'll have to pay the most, by a good bit, to get him IMO. I say once you start to get around 4mil a year, that's getting too high. Although, we have no good options if we don't get him unless you consider giving up #6 for KGB a good option.

AJ I wouldnt paqy no more than 4 mill. Throw in the prorated bonus and the guy is gonna end being a huge cap hit. For someone who really doesnt solve our greatest need Pass Rush!

Translation: "Show me the money!"

Suggested Cardinal response: "Here it 'tis! Meanwhile you're forcing us to shift into our 'Take all the time in the world, Kordell' mode - if you know what we're sayin'.

If we don't get Holliday I would hope that Graves does everything he can to trade up to get Suggs in the draft.

We would still need to do that anyways!

Holliday will not be our instant pass rush we need!

Rather than pay holliday anything close to $4 mil a year..I would rather do all of the following:

1. sign willie whitehead
2. sign jamir miller to a reasonable contract (you think miller was waiting for douglas, holliday, colvin to sign and then hit the market more aggressively? makes sense to me).
3. draft the best available defensive end or tackle available at the #6 pick. If you draft a tackle..take an end in round #2.
4. create a pass rush by committee with miller, whitehead, dennis johnson and the new rookies.

I would sign a veteran wide receiver or two (maybe our own) as opposed to drafting one in round one or two.
