CHEBOYGAN – It was a big season on the court for Carson Kiefer.
Following the season, the Cheboygan junior guard recently earned a nod on the all-Northern Shores Conference boys basketball first team.

During the campaign, Kiefer averaged 13 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists for the Chiefs, who captured 15 victories. Kiefer also shot 76 percent from the free throw line.
The Chiefs also saw sophomores Nolan Schley and Gavin Smith make the all-NSC second team, while fellow sophomore Landon Gahn received NSC honorable mention recognition.
Elk Rapids won the NSC crown with a 13-1 conference record, while Harbor Springs (12-2) was second, Charlevoix (10-4) took third, Boyne City (8-6) was fourth, and Cheboygan (7-7) placed fifth.
