Too much negativity on the board so let's turn to some positives provided by the nice people running the Cards official site.

We'll start with Brooke, COTW for 9-19-05

Dear Cardinals Fans,

I’m so honored to be back cheering with you this season. This is my second year on the team, and I can’t wait for our first game! We have been working hard all summer for you. We have been practicing twice a week outside, in the heat, dust, and humidity to perform our best for the season opener. In fact, our favorite part of practice is when the field is being watered, so we can run through the sprinklers to cool off!

This year our new squad is made up of 36 beautiful, talented women. The try-out process was tough, and the competition was strong. Everyone had to try-out each year, so if you’ve been on the team before, it’s not a guarantee you’ll be back. This makes it even more nerve racking and difficult.

I’ve had the privilege this summer to go to Mexico City and Obregon Mexico to represent the Cardinals and NFL in Mexico. We are trying to get more people aware of American Football and promote the October 2nd game that will be held in Mexico City. The people there are so embracing and treated us with such respect. We participated in kid’s camps, visited orphanages, danced with the university dance team, and cheered at a flag football tournament. It made me feel proud to be a part of something so prestigious and positive for that country. Needless to say, I’ve been improving my Spanish and enjoying authentic Mexican food.

As the summer comes to an end, I’m planning to take a trip back to Nebraska to visit my family and get a break from the 100 degree weather. The monsoon season is upon us, so I’m ready to escape the humidity.

I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at our first game this year. We appreciate your devotion and support. It means a lot to know there are true fans cheering in the stands with us. Watch for our new uniforms, they have changed since last year. You didn’t think the players were going to be the only ones on the field with new gear did you?

GO CARDINALS!!!!

Fondly,

Brooke

Clearly she would have proper leverage and I think she looks like she could explode into a block. Let me go to our bedroom and she can try it out on me and I'll let you know the results...tomorrow. :D

Dockett claims when he's in that position that he has a 3 point stance.

Dear Arizona Cardinals Fans,

First and foremost, thank you to all of you who support our team! Your energy and enthusiasm is felt at every game, during every play and heard in every cheer. You make our job as cheerleaders more fun and exciting!

This is my second year cheering for the Cardinals and it has been an amazing opportunity in so many ways. I have had the honor to work with some amazing women, assist with rewarding charity work, and perform as a professional cheerleader in the NFL!

I have had the honor to work, cheer and make friends with an extraordinary group of young women who are not only beautiful but are also smart, talented, driven, spirited, fun loving, caring and the list goes on. The women on this team have pulled together in tough times, showing great compassion and celebrated some great occasions already this year.

I also have had the privilege to carry out charity work for those who need and request our services. My most memorable charity, as well as my most recent was a trip to Fort Hood, Texas to visit the soldiers and boost morale with 3 other Cardinals Cheerleaders. When we arrived we were whisked right into the field where we were able to observe the soldiers in training for a trip to Iraq, explore Apache and Blackhawk helicopters, quietly pay respects to fallen soldiers at the memorial, take numerous pictures, sign even more posters and ride in the fire engine with full gear on and lights and sirens sounding! And after all of this, they gave us framed certificates of appreciation for donating our time and all I could think was that was the least we could do for the men and women willing to lay down their lives for our safety, peace of mind and freedom.

Cheering and performing at games, no matter how many times I do it, is so exhilarating! I feel fortunate to experience being in front of thousands of people doing what I love, with an amazingly talented team. I realize that this opportunity is unique and limited by time, so I cherish every moment in practice, promotions and out on the field!

Outside of cheerleading I work full time doing outside sales for a logistics company. This is a new position and field for me, as I have just recently retired from personal training. Fitness is still a passion for me so I will be teaching aerobic and conditioning classes part time to continue to be involved in training others to live a healthier, happier life! I will also be starting to seriously train for P.F. Chang’s half marathon in the months to come. I enjoyed it so much last year that I am going to make it an annual affair! One of my favorite things to do is just relax with my girlfriends doing anything from working out, shopping, going to church, eating dinner, going out and about on the town or watching movies at a sleepover. There is no price I could put on being able to get together with friends and just let loose and be yourself.

Again thank you for all of your encouragement and support both to the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders and the Arizona Cardinals Football Team. This season looks so promising for both the team and the fans! I can’t wait to be on the sidelines cheering for the Cardinals this year!

All my X’s and O’s!
Nicole

Hola Cardinal Fans,

This year is going to be a wonderful season… I am excited for my second season with the Cardinals. We have a talented group of intelligent, gorgeous, young women this year. Tryouts were a challenge and I have to admit that it’s a honor to be a cheerleader this season. We’ve been practicing extremely hard over the summer during the hot summer months along with the monsoon. Now that the season is here, all that hard work has paid off. We had a good pre-season yet our first two season games were a struggle… however we came back with a BIG Bang in Mexico. I am actually in Mexico City as I write this letter to you all. It has been an amazing experience here. Fans from Mexico have been very kind and appreciative of our visit. I want to thank everyone in Mexico for the support and kindness.

As I walked into the Azteca Stadium Sunday night my heart filled with joy… there was over 100,000 fans. Every seat was filled and no section was left empty. When the Mexico and US National anthem played and both country flags side by side brought tears to my eyes to be apart of such a wonderful event. The chanting of our fans screaming “Cardinals, Cardinals” gave me goose bumps of joy. Camera lights flashing from every section of the stadium from fans wanting to capture this event that will for sure go down in NFL football history. The game was an awesome game, and our team played to their fullest potential. Our half time show was spectacular. It was a great honor to dance with Mexican natives on the field. I cried with joy for being blessed to have had this experience in my life, it’s not everyday NFL cheerleaders get to visit fans from other countries.

I looked forward to the rest of the season and the Cardinals will have a winning year. Thanks again Fans for all your support both here in the US and Internationally! Let’s root our #1 team on!

With much love,
Kalani
