In an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio this week, an irritated Arians said some new players on the Cardinals roster are having a negative impact on the team.

“We have some really, really good leaders,” he said. “But to be a good leader, the others have to follow you. We’ve got a lot of young guys. We have some new faces that are doing their own thing and not following the example set by these guys. And it’s a two-way street. They can only lead you to water, but you’ve got to drink it. And some of these young guys have got to get out of old habits and get in with the Cardinal Way.”

Who do you think he's referring to here? Chandler Jones? Nkemdiche? Tyvon Branch? Corey Peters?

My bets would be Jones & Branch.

Well, Beech, his quote does specifically say 'young' guys... So would Jones be categorized as such?

Sounds like rookies and young newcomers from whoever. Might include Jones, who knows?

Jones is 25 so I would call him a young guy. I would also assume the problems have been with guys that actually play so it could include Brandon Williams, Marcus Cooper & Tharold Simon.

Brandon Williams, Marcus Cooper & Tharold Simon, none of these fit the mold for the accusation. Williams is humble and admits his downfalls and for all intent purposes works his ass off, Cooper has been solid since his arrival and humble in all his responses and Simon just got here and has not even played any significant time if at all... Jones and probably D.J. Swearinger in my opinion

Christian had to be one of them. Maybe JJ Nelson? DJ was here last year as well but he makes sense.

I'd say look no further than the 2 morons that got flagged for the choreographed celebration...

I thought BA said something about a 2nd year player that came from another team during his Sirius interview with Alex Marvez.

I assume he meant 2nd year cardinal player, since nobody fits the exact mold. I believe he is referring to Swearinger

My thoughts exactly. I don't think they are happy with Chandler Jones, personality wise. He spends much of his pre game warm-up time dancing and goofing around. I can only imagine he's like that in practice also. That is not the culture here under BA. They want hard working, no nonsense gym rats who eat sleep and breathe football.

Good post and I agree. I think it's Jones frankly. Sacks and numbers are great but he's been destroyed this year. Bennett TE for the Patriots absolutely decimated Jones. He ate him alive. Jones couldn't disengage and was pancaked a few times.

Last game especially, but really every game, teams run right at Jones because he can't seal an edge. He's not a speed rusher, never has been. Yet his power has been suspect so far. Bennett, a freaking TE for the Pats, absolutely mauled him.

I think they are missing the leadership of Corey Redding. Watching AON, it seemed like he was a great teammate and leader of the defense.

Bennett looked like a monster that game compared to Jones.

I agree. The kid has a respect issue for sure, was apparent in the Carolina game with his outburst toward coach Buckner. I'm not sure he's really any better than Okeafor, who always seemed to do his job well.

Ehhh golden is one of our best player since the start of the season
I like his attitude, he wants to win and he put everything on the field
What he lacks is burst

Nkemdiche most likely. Probably the same maturity issues as Humphries last year.

Id also guess: Harlan Miller. Possibly Marqui Christian.

Chandler - I dont think so. He has a very goofy personality, but CC and Golden have both praised his work ethic in practice, so I doubt its him.

Seems like he's referring to more than 2. Some cuts were made, so................

Also some 2nd yr. players there. I don't think Swearinger can be content with his playing time. Maybe he should show something on ST's before openly being a malcontent.

Clearly the lack of cookies is hurting the team. Now they don't have enough motivation to get a win if there's no cookies rewarded. BA should take them to get ice cream after a win.
