Mike Downey
Bears 23, Cardinals 3. Monday, Monday … can't trust that day. In road games on Monday nights, the Bears are 6-21. Their only loss of 1985 came on a Monday. Thomas Jones returns to the desert to show Arizona how hot he's gotten. Is rookie Matt Leinart ready for prime time? ESPN's Joe Theismann knows what bad breaks a quarterback can have on a Monday.

David Haugh
Bears 31, Cardinals 13. Poor Leinart will find out the difference between the Pac-10 and a pack of Bears and that they call games in August exhibition football for a reason. The cool lefty who looked so good in the preseason will run into a Bears pass rush that harasses him like paparazzi. That will be the biggest factor in helping the Bears end their "Monday Night Football" drought in the desert.

Melissa Isaacson
Bears 28, Cardinals 6. So now it's Anquan Boldin, the Arizona wide receiver who made the mistake of actually proclaiming that maybe, just possibly, the Cardinals could, if they studied and worked hard enough, move the ball on the Bears. As if "Monday Night Football" weren't enough to get the Bears going.

Fred Mitchell
Bears 31, Arizona 10. One of the league's most proficient offensive teams against one of the league's most inefficient defensive squads appears to be a mismatch made for the Bears and "Monday Night Football." Without injured prime wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and a patchwork offensive line, the Cardinals-rookie QB Leinart in particular-will be scrambling.

Rick Morrissey
Bears 28, Cardinals 3. The Bears defense that Leinart saw in the preseason isn't anything like the one he's about to see now. He had better hope his offensive line suddenly remembers how to block. Oh, and even if it does? It's not going to be able to stop Tommie Harris and the fellas.

John Mullin
Bears 31 Cardinals 7. Stepping onto the Monday night stage with a week off to follow, the Bears are primed for a feeding frenzy against a team that can't score or stop opponents from scoring. Leinart should be a top QB someday, just not this day against a defense that has recovered five of the six fumbles it's caused and is tied for No. 1 in takeaways.

Don Pierson
Bears 34, Cardinals 10. A third straight blowout looms because there are too many mismatches again, starting on the line of scrimmage. Leinart, starting only his second game, will miss injured receiver Fitzgerald. Bear speed rushers might get eight sacks against the Cardinals' fat tackles.

Talk about bulletin board material...

The Cards sure don't have to look very far. Pick up any newspaper in the nation and they all say the same thing.
I remember being bowling in a "King of the Hill" tournament. For anybody that doesn't know what that is, any bowler can enter for a set entry fee. Each participant draws a lane number and you bowl head to head. The loser is eliminated, just like the NCAA BAsketball Brackets.
ANyway, I made it to the final 2 and was going up against the top dog. As I was waiting to start the match , my Son said to me, "It looks like your run stops here."
I smiled and said, "Look around this bowling alley, My Boy. EVERYBODY is thinking exactly the same thing. The pressure is all on him." By the 8th frame he picked up his ball and called it a night as he was mathamatically eliminated.

The CArds need to go out there and have some fun, take some chances. They need to jump on these guys early and bloody a nose or two. Rattle Grossman a bit. Let them know we came to play. They need to dig deep and play for every morsel of pride they have......and just read the newspaper.

With Jerry Porter now suspended, I am afraid that the Cards will be looking past the Bears in anticipation of the Raiders game.

You sure this wasn't the script from the old SNL "Da Bears" skit? The scores look about the same...

This guy is a real piece of work. What a sausage gobbler he is...he's practically asking for an injury.

I hope we win so we can give this guy a night's worth of two-inch thick "pizza" heartburn.

I hate idiots like him. Reminds me of Bickley. Trying to be funny but falling faaaaar short.

I just watched Merrill Hoge and Ron Jaworski on ESPN not even give the Cardinals the time of day. Their arrogance invested in Chicago is so annoying, I hope the Cardinals rout this team somehow. I wanted to reach through the screen and choke Hoge.

No one goes undefeated.

Even if the Cards win, you think they'll get the credit? No, they'll say the Bears just didn't play well, or some other crap like that.

This is the game that could turn the season around for us. We beat the Bears in the pre-season and I don't see why we can't beat them now, especially at home. I think we beat the Bears and piss off every one of the so called experts that think the Bears will walk the dog on us. I for one don't think just any and every team can walk in and beat us in our own stadium. Our team hasn't given up. They proved that in the KC game. I think the Cardinals will be so pumped up for this game wanting to prove themselves that they go out and get a big win.

This sounds a lot like the Cowboys last year.

Ahh such idealism. This game COULD change our season but from everything i am hearing and reading the players have packed it in. This is as close to a mortal lock betting wise as you are going to get.

It sucks but its true guys. start looking to 2007....

I thought preseason games didn't mean anything? Or did I miss the memo?

Let's put it this way. The Cards can win tonight. Winning in the NFL is never a gimme, especially on the road. But the reality is, in order for the Cards to win, they must play a near flawless game and that includes the coaching aspect. If they play near flawless and the Bears have some of their bounces go the opposite way and the Cards catch those picks Grossman will offer them up (and he does like every NFL QB) then the Cards can easily win this game.

The question is, can this team play near flwaless football and the coaches coach a near flawless game?
