Buncha guys here should go buy RAMS gear and just admit who they are. Come out of the closet, so to speak.

No, we've been hoping KK & KM would succeed. We're just frustrated because they've been failing.

I don’t consider massive improvement to be failing. They aren’t perfect yet, but they are clearly improving.

@WhyAlwaysMe: Is your only answer to factual posts to troll and call out fanhoods?

Wins are somewhat random in the NFL. The best way to ensure consistent and stable success is to maximize point advantage over a large sample. As we have seen, a few missed field goals can turn an 8 win “disappointment” into an 11-win “amazing turnaround”.

So the true measure of success in the NFL isn't winning, but the statistics of points turnaround? Okaaay.

The question is how to measure progress. For the same reason that so many teams go “worst to first” or “first to out of the playoffs” is explained much more strongly by how many blow-outs they can win (and avoiding blow-out losses) compared to winning close games (which usually comes down to kicking luck or a random play here or there).

If the Cardinals had a negative PD but 9 wins right now I would be less optimistic about their future than I am presently.

We want them to prove us wrong. Play better. Make smart choices. Didn’t realize a fan board should be an echo chamber of only positive thoughts...

Again, I was the only (?) person trying to explain how awful our WR room was before the season started. I was told how good Fitz and Kirk were and well those folks were a mite too optimistic I would say.

Positivity should be the OVERWHELMING sentiment here, given the degree of improvement, the age of key players, and the growing expertise of the coach. And yet I find myself not fighting off a fair amount of negativity; it’s literally permeating through almost every thread!

That’s now how it works. Just because we won 3 two year ago means on the pace we’re on we’ll win 11 next season. There needs to be Improvement and we can’t lose to bad teams.

This is facts. A losing year is a losing year. There's no guarantee that the needle continues to swing upward. Unless you're the damn Jets, that kind of rationale gets debunked very quickly in this league.

Progress is measured in winning games, making it to the playoffs, and winning the Super Bowl. NO ONE cares about margin of victory if you win the Lombardi. I don't care if we win every game 3-0, or get into the playoffs at 7-9, as long as we win the Super Bowl. We were CRUSHED in a game at the end of the season we made it to the Super Bowl and were called the worst division winner in playoff history. Did we care about any of that when we made it to the big game? Not one whit. We laughed about it. Sure would have been nice to actually win that game, but I'll always treasure that SB run.

Those games won or lost on one play, decided by a field goal or less, are EXACTLY how teams are measured. Every team has those games. The good and great teams win those; the bad and awful teams lose them; the uneven and average teams can go either way. This is why we're not in the first group.

Had a couple days to reflect.

Kliff isn’t what we thought he would be. His offense is not innovative, stale, predictable, he’s shown no ability to adjust, he runs a crappier version of similar offenses.

he’s not a leader, he doesn’t know jack about clock management or closing games out.

why keim never hired a vet OC is beyond me, but it’s clear someone needs to be brought in to supervise, and stop Kliff from shooting himself in the foot over and over.

Tom Clements (CLEM-ents) is in his second season with the Cardinals after being named pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach on 1/22/19. Clements is a 25-year coaching veteran who has spent 21 seasons as an assistant coach in the NFL, including five seasons as an offensive coordinator.
