Beat me to it! I was going to add it to the J Patt thread. LOL.

If I were Fossum or Lyons in particular, I'm not sure I'd have high hopes for arbitration after their 2004.

Kind of a lot for a lousy lefty specialist.

I'm surprised Lyon and Fossum are arbitration eligible. They must both be super twos.

Shows the crummy players the D-Backs got.

Koplove, who was 4-4 with a 4.05 ERA in 76 games last year, is asking for $970,000 after making $330,000 last year. The Diamondbacks submitted a $750,000 salary figure.

Fossum, also acquired in the Schilling trade, submitted a $1.35 million figure in contrast to the club's $800,000 offer. The left-hander, who made $345,000 last year, was 4-15 with a 6.65 ERA in 27 games last year.

Can't blame them for asking for too much, since so many others get it handed out rather casually, but I think the offers by the team are quite reasonable. In fact, Koppy is worth more than Fossum, IMO.

NOOOOOO!!!!
Choato-boy lost one of the few games I had a chance to go see last year. In to relieve RJ (who was magnificent) against the Rockies. I hope he's only used to make sure the bullpen is nice and tidy.

You are correct. When I think of Fossum, I think of Bill Walton saying "HORRIBLE!"
