DJ didn't get on the field right away tho, did he? He had to learn the protections and wasn't ready to step in day one.

Yeah, but anyone picked this year wouldn't have had to step in day one either because we already have our starter. And DJ was already in on a fair amount of packages in Game 1. Remember, it was his 50 yard TD that clinched the first game against the Saints.

And Ellington played a fair amount of snaps his first game as well.

AJcard pointed it out and he's absolutely right, RB is the easiest position for a guy to make an impact right away. I would trust CJ to make a big impact right away over a rookie though, especially after he's been involved with the team for a year already. I read the story Carson told about CJ that AJC mentioned as well, and that's something a rookie probably doesn't do, notice, or recognize. BTW, David Johnson played 5 snaps his first game. He made that amazing catch out of the backfield that clinched the game, but he was not in on a fair amount of packages in game 1.

Come on Chopper you know better.

I know...which is why I find the Iupati, Mathis, and Chris Johnson signings so funny. Great tools if you are going to run the ball. Liabilities if you aren't. We will see.

Great signing, all this does is give more indication of what they're going to do in the draft IMO.

Also, Keim is badass. Just saying. (When a dude could leave for more money, and that dude is at the end of their career and decides to stay here...bad. ass.)
