My son said he has heard this. Anyone else?
Just saw it on yahoo sports. I can't link it.

You have to rip the band-aid off.Yep, this is what Gambo said would happen - he's right again.
This is the right move IMO.
Now the question is whether the intention is to stretch him and try and get under the tax - or not and possibly resign him for the min.
I don't think they have to or can officially do it yet. The new league year hasn't started yet.Not yet a done deal. Being discusses.

Chris Paul is in the third year of a four-year, $120-million deal that is partially guaranteed the third year and non-guaranteed the last year.azcentral.com
“[The Phoenix Suns don’t waive Paul] unless they feel pretty good about somebody else. And I want you to keep your eye on James Harden. I don’t want to report anything, but that was in the wind for the past month or so. Everybody thinks it’s like Philly or Houston but I don’t know, there has been discussions in the wind.”
This doesn’t make sense. From SBNATION 76ers Insider: "But I reminded myself there’s way too much more slop coming to get too worried about any one scenario. And sure enough, ESPN Insider Ramona Shelburne dropped the next breadcrumb for us.
Appearing live on the Mason & Ireland on ESPN Radio show, Shelburne said:
IDK, it sounded to me like she was making this a CP3 trade. She wasn't talking about Ayton. This doesn’t make sense.
unless the implication is a 3 way involving ayton.
personally I would rather have ayton than harden.
How does that work - you think Harden would be willing to play for 15 million? I guess maybe they would also take Shamet - but even so this sounds far fetched at best knowing how much Harden has wanted his money in the past.IDK, it sounded to me like she was making this a CP3 trade. IDK what she's thinking. It does sound far fetched. How does that work - you think Harden would be willing to play for 15 million? I guess maybe they would also take Shamet - but even so this sounds far fetched at best knowing how much Harden has wanted his money in the past.
The Harden thing makes zero sense - the one thing he brings to the table is the one thing we absolutely don't need! How does that work - you think Harden would be willing to play for 15 million? Harden does everything that Paul does. Is bigger, younger, doesn’t get hurt often as well. Just as clutch tooThe Harden thing makes zero sense - the one thing he brings to the table is the one thing we absolutely don't need!
He doesn't guard anyone and needs a bunch of shots. I can't imagine any universe in where Harden would be the right move, outside of something absurd like signing for the MLE or the minimum.Harden does everything that Paul does. Is bigger, younger, doesn’t get hurt often as well. Just as clutch too
Paul gets abused in the switch. He also slows the pace, something Vogel does not want when we get defensive stops. Harden won’t be such a liability both sides of the courtHe doesn't guard anyone and needs a bunch of shots.
