Funny how a pretty good team can look so bad when a third string QB is at the helm.

Not an excuse, just an observation

Good QB play can cover up a lot of roster deficiencies

Bad QB can make a good roster look bad

Oh, so two seasons with 6 game losing streaks, and a third season with a minimum 7 game losing streak is totally no big deal, because Pittsburgh lost with their third-string QB. Huh.

Oh it's a big deal, but the point is we lose because we've had guys who should be 2nd or 3rd string QBs starting for us that whole time. DA, Max Hall, Skelton, Kolb, Lindley. None of those guys would be starting on other teams (well, Kolb might start on a few for a week or two until he broke a finger nail and was put on IR).

49ers system, you could have me behind center with that D and that running game and we could move the ball.

Funny how a team forces 6 turnovers and wins.

At least we know the Cardinals are so bad, that the Browns have a better team then them right now.

Browns were against Charlie Batch, not Matt Ryan which has something to do with it.

As far as comps between Cards and Browns. Browns have edge at QB, offensive line and running back and a comparable defense. Browns aren't a terrible team.

Pittsburgh must be where Whiz got his stupid gene from. Byron Leftwich and Charlie Batch do not belong in the NFL, yet they back up a guy who inevitably goes down injured. I didn't know Charlie Batch was alive let alone on an NFL roster.

Agree. With Kolb we were 4-1, without him 0-6. With a great defense, you just need a above average QB. Since coming off our bye week our oline has been looking a lot better. Our running game has been decent, but our QB has been sucking ass.

Todd Haley can coach them up. That guy is genius!

I think he's proven to most that he's no wuss.

Oh! and I remember when there was a contingent on this board who wanted us to draft Leftwich.

Not saying he's a wuss. But he's fragile none the less. He's been hurt every year of his career. Doesn't matter if he plays tough if he still misses half the season with an injury every year.

Weeden has two of the lowest QBR's for winning quarterbacks in the last three years.

If that makes sense. Pitt turned it over 8 times and CLE barely won?

Ayeesh.
