Cleveland Guardians name Tanner Bibee as 2025 Opening Day starter vs Kansas City Royals

Tanner Bibee was pushed into a larger role last year following a series of unfortunate events for the Guardians starting rotation.

Now, entering 2025, he'll take the mound on Opening Day.

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt told reporters in Goodyear, Ariz. that Bibee will take the ball to open the regular season.

When is Opening Day 2025 for the Guardians?​

The Guardians open the 2025 season March 27 in Kansas City. The game has a first-pitch time of 4:10 p.m.
