Suns @ Bucks Tuesday game thread 4-1-2025

Suns start a three game road trip at the Bucks on Tuesday.

Afterward, the Suns play two more road games, @ Boston 4-4 and @ Knicks 4-6.

Milwaukee is 40-34. They lost to the Hawks on Sunday. The Suns won their last meeting in Phoenix.

Phoenix is 35-40. They have lost their last three games.

Kings have 8 more games, and we have 7 left. We have to make up 1.5 games we are behind them. Kings are up 2-1 in our series against us, so best we can do is go 2-2 with them. April 13th we play that last game against them. So to be safe we actually should try and make up 2.5 games on them. That means if we go 7-0, they could go 6-2 and probably be in. Possibly 5-3 if one of those wins is against us. They could get the tie breaker on us. Opportunity is with them (they have one more game, and a chance to get tie breaker on us), and they have an easier remaining schedule.

How many of us think we can go 7-0 with our remaining schedule? I don't think we have a shot in hell of doing that. Even if the Kings go 4-4 in their remaining games. 7-0 has us barely on the edge of pulling ahead of them.

Especially with Durant out. I think he likely played his last game as a Sun. I mean, if you are the Suns and want to trade him? Why the heck would you risk further injury to that ankle? Shut him down. Season's over.

I believe the psyche of this team is extremely weak and fragile to a degree inappropriate for NBA basketball players and inappropriate for grown men. Every time they lose, it destroys their confidence and wilingness to play hard. They quit in the next game, because the loss made them think it's hopeless.

I wonder whether coach is responsible. Is he nothing but the opposite extreme from Monty Williams?

The Magic Number for Sacramento to close out the tenth spot is 7. For example, we lose these three games KD is out, Sac goes on a four game win streak over this period, and we are out. We do not control our destiny for the 8th through tenth spots that technically we could get to. We need help from here on out just to make the play in.

I know some are moaning about this game. Me, I'm counting the hours until NEXT season ends. I figure it's just under 9,000 hours and when we get close to that number I'll start looking forward to the end of the season after that. As you can see, there's always something to look forward to for us diehard Suns fans.
