A guy who has really impressed me lately, is #55, Reggie Walker. While he is undersized (6'0, 238) for an ILB, he moves and hits well. His tackle on the two point try, was a classic. I think he makes the team.

That would be a real bonus if he can step up and be a good b/u for this season. Esp. since it looks like we're going to lose Dansby in the off season and we're probably going to need more secondary help in next years draft again, unless Toler shows something.

if he's PS elgible, i think he ends up there? The only chance he has to make the roster is if Highsmith isn't ready to go. Who else is he going to beat out? Dansby, Hayes, Hobson, Haggans, Okeafor, Berry, and Davis are pretty much locks for the 53.You can only keep so many LB's. Pago, Highsmith, and Walker are left for the last spot. If Cody Brown didn't go down, i don't think there would be a spot at all.

With the injury to Brown this kid could very well make this team and I wouldn't be disappointed.

Cbus, you're lumping OLB's with ILB's. As I see it, only Pago and Highsmith are candidates for backup ILB's. Pago will probably be IR'd, with a fractured foot, and Highsmith has been hurt. If Highsmith is healthy or will be in a week or two, I think he'll make the final 53, along with Walker. As for the OLB's, I think that the B-Train has reached the end of the line. I'm hoping the team will keep him in the Organization. Now if a WW pickup is made, then Highsmith or Walker could be cut.

Wasn't Walker getting some snaps with the first team defense vs the Packers?

Besides one or two tackles against the Packers he was just there in this game.

He had a far better game against the Chargers IMO.

Yes, he was spelling our starters in the first half. When I saw that, it told me that Whis has some respect for the kid.

I myself wouldnt read to much into that. Walker was still 3rd on the depth chart before the game and only came in when he did because of circumstance. He only got that shot becuase Highsmith was out and Pago left with a broken foot. He was the only one left to put in. Pago was the first one off the bench.
