That's right, I'm loading up the wagon and getting ready to roll right to the draft. I know others have voiced their desire to draft DeCastro. I am not in--he is the guy I want us to draft. Sure, WR would be nice, but the draft is deep in them. He is pretty much THE guard this year, and is being compared to the Pouncey's. DeCastro? You're my boy, Blue!

I'm in!

Actually, I want to sign Bell which would give us a serviceable player at every position. I still like Decastro in that scenario, but we could also go Floyd or Ingram and I would be happy.

If there is a wagon - It's 50-50 he'll be available at #13.

Imagine winning $50k in Vegas

You could buy a sports car or pay down the mortgage

Drafting Decastro would be like paying down the mortgage

I would prefer the sportscar, but couldn't argue with paying down the mortgage

I really hope we sign Demetrius Bell. Otherwise I don't think I want to draft the two players I'd like the most at #13, who are DeCastro and Floyd. If we don't have an LT/RT, we have to draft a tackle, plain and simple.

YES!!! I want Bell as well (heh, that rhymed).

Granted. We can't afford to trade up.

NONONO!!! Drafting purely for need and reaching is not a good thing!

Bell must not be checking out medically. I find it hard to believe a starting caliber LT hasn't signed anywhere if he's healthy. That being said, I want the Cards to draft Martin. Good LT's are much harder to find, and much more impactful, than an OG, no matter how good he is. I wouldn't hate a DeCastro pick but much prefer Martin.

Yeah, but everything I read about Martin is negative. I do NOT want us to reach and, IMO, Martin would be a reach.

You must just overlook the positives because I find it hard to believe a consensus top 10-20 player has only negative thing written about him. In fact, I see much positives than negatives in the scouting reports I see.

Alot of people count him not playing with a mean streak as a negative, but the first report I went to, CBS sportsline, had this to say about him:

Above-average football and general intelligence, but plays with a nasty streak that makes defenders know he can handle himself. Solid character and work ethic.

That's a great analogy.

I'm in for paying down the mortgage with DeCastro.

...or, if that option is off the table, I'd like to buy a Subaru in Kuechley. He's not flashy, but I think he'll get the job done well.

I like sure bets and to me DeCastro is the best bet that may be available for us. I have already expressed all the advantages of finally having an awesome running game, so won't bore you with that here.

And Kuechley - well he is who I have thought of the last couple months as being the Von Miller of this draft. I picked Miller last year before he shot up the boards and was out of our reach. The same has/will happen to Kuechley. I just love this kid, a real football player who would be a luxury for us. DeCastro is the need pick that will help us the most with no risk involved.

Please, please, not another LT bust with our 1st pick. I couldn't take it again.

Ive heard the same thing about Martin several times now. When scouts look at the tape he is not as good as they would expect and he not very good as a pass blocker.

Pass on Martin. This board is only in love with him because the team needs a tackle. And yes, they do need a tackle, but they dont need another Levi Brownesque reach and whiff.

This all sounds great but who is going to play Right Tackle because Levi Brown isn't moving back to Right Tackle?

Adam Snyder? Jeremy Bridges? D'Anthony Batiste? D.J. Young? That's not a real attractive list.

I tend to go against conventional wisdom and prefer to build my offensive line from the inside out. You can always throw in TE's to chip if necessary. Very hard to cover up inadequacies in the middle of the line, especially when your tackles are inadequate.

Have been in, and will continue to be in.

Everything I have read about this kid, is that he is a ferocious competitor, and the leader of the Stanford O-Line.

Not only do the Cardinals need some better talent at guard, IMO, they need a leader on the line. Enter DeCastro.

Biggest problem with DeCastro, I almost guarantee he will not be there at #13.

Reaching for offensive lineman is stupid.

I could not disagree with you more.

We would be very, very, very, very lucky for DeCastro to "fall" to us at #13. A reach ? No, it would be luck that he is still available.

One question about this:

Who is the leader on the offensive line ? Do you see one ? I don't.

That is very much against conventional wisdom.
