Once you get a coaching job in the NFL you will always have one. I’m amazed at how these OCs, DCs, STs and position coaches just move from team to team when a HC is fired. That is why I can’t really get excited on who the Cards are hiring around their new HC. It’s the same with every team. What really makes the team successful besides good players is a quality GM and HC.

Yeah i completely 100% disagree with this. Your totally under selling what a great staff can do for a team. And of all years this may be THE most important staff any team has ever had to put around a HC in the history of the NFL..

Last year everyone during Cards' training camp raved at how wonderful Wilk's staff was. Some said it was the best the Cards have ever had. Now that Wilks has been fired, these same people are saying he had a terrible staff. Having a good staff is of course important my post has really more to do with the fact that the same coaches rotate from team to team and seem to have lifetime jobs.

I don't have anyway of grading a staff by how good they can coach/teach or game plan but I would argue that this staff is shaping up to be one of the best in Cardinal history (based on high level responsibility/experience alone).

The one with Arians, Bowles, Kitchens, and Tom Moore was good
Whisenhunt, Russ Grimm, Todd Haley, and Teryl Austin was good as well

I got ya. And yes for the most part this is true. As far as last year, me personally i was indifferent on Wilks, didnt like Holcomb and hated the Mccoy hiring. Im really liking the way this one is shaping up.

One of the reasons, i think is because every one thinks "experience" is the do all, end all. If you don't have experience, then you won't succeed. But, you have to work somewhere that first time to get the experience and no one wants to be that person that gives them their first job for fear they will not succeed for lack of experience.

I am all for new people instead of old retreads.
