Coaching staff reshuffled

Bell is leaving as the Dbacks bench coach in order to spend more time with his family, but hopes to stay with the organization in some kind of assistant capacity (kind of like how Williams and Grace are instructors during spring training). Carlos Tosca will take Bell's place as bench coach, and Chip Hale is the new Third Base coach. Mike Aldrete is also leaving to spend more time with his family, so the team will need a new batting coach as well.

I hope a "Sit tight for awhile" commitment accompanied that "promotion". Otherwise, what a waste of managerial talent.

That was my first thought when I read that, as well.
