If only Classy and good business crossed paths a little more often...
I don't. It could have. Or not. I just held it out there as a way to handle it - dismissive or not. I think the right thing to do is be upfront and honest, and leave it up to the one you're talking to interpret it any way he wants to.You know that didnt happen how?
That.Arians is putting together his staff with the guys he wants. That is his call. I don't have a problem with that. We may not know the names but that really doesn't matter. When Whisnhunt came in the only guy that I heard of and really wanted was Russ Grimm. I really didn't know any of the others.
I thouhgt Russ would give us the OL that we really lacked.
Bottom line is not to get worked up on who he brings in. If we win no one will give a hoot.
Not only were they fired..... They were fired after many of the openings around the league had been filled.
Yep typical cardinals front office Dick move.... Things never change. This is why cards will never be respected.
That is not true and now you are complaining just to complain. There are several teams that just named their DC and just started to fill those spots. Jacksonville and Chicago are both prime examples. Philly has not names a DC yet, so they could still fire their staff. There are a log of coaches that will still move around and those spots will open up.
From what I read, CLEVELAND just named their DC as well and he may want most of them and even if they are not filled, they are all under contract for one year and will get paid. HOW DARE US!!!!
Some organizations changing administrations will fire entire management teams purely as standard policy, but then hire some of those people back on an individual basis.Did you ever think that the new H.C. is doing them all a favor cutting them loose quickly rather than take a week or two more to evaluate each one individually and then letting half or more of them go. It comes with the territory unless you are hiring a H.C. from within.
Let's face it, we won 1 game our of the last 12 and got blown out by other teams in our division. We are starting over for the most part. A new regime all the way around. This is what happens when a new coach comes to a team as bad and with the reputation of the Cards. We all will get over it if and when we start competing properly again.

This is awesome. We fire all our good defensive coaches so the new HC can replace them with all his unqualified buddies wtf.

I had talked with Michael (Bidwill) when I got here about that (Horton) situation and I didn’t feel like, at this point and time, that’s where I wanted to go,” Arians said. “We talked about it at length, and like I said, I’ve got all the respect in the world for Ray. We worked together in Pittsburgh. We were together with a Super Bowl team. He’s done a great job here. For my first time (as a head coach), this is the direction that I feel very strongly about.
So either the Cards hire a HC or a puppet. It would appear you prefer a puppet.
So, I guess when Whiz hired a D-back coach from Pittsburgh as his coordinator it was because he was looking for a puppet. And when Horton rounded out his staff with coaches he was familiar with it, obviously, was because he also wanted a few marionettes.

That makes zero sense.
Whisenhunt never ran the defense
Horton didn't destroy his resume with horrible results as DC just a season ago
Promoting a guy to OC when he was was just promoted to oline coach a year ago(because he was Arians' buddy) is just utter insanity.
Horton wanted out. That's obvious.
Arians is the defacto O-coordinator. Also obvious.
Goodwin's main task is to improve O-line play. Equally, self evident.
Every HC has a list developed over time of coaches that he personally judges as qualified to be on his staff.
I somehow doubt, given your avatar, that any choice will satisfy you.
Whatever Arian's intent or MO, Horton's leaving creates a questionmark on defense. That's just the way it is.Horton wanted out. That's obvious.

Regarding the veiled accusation of cronyism (by others /not you) does anyone really think that a guy finally achieving his life-long dream of becoming an NFL head coach is going to screw it up by hiring anyone but the best possible people? C'mon!
Either way. Harold Goodwin and Todd Bowles as coordinators spells doom.
These guys are only getting the jobs because they are Arians' friends wtf.
Cardinals fans never cease to amaze me. ill just leave it at that.
