Colin Cowherd may not be well-liked. It's his job to have opinions and he has zero filter with them. Like any media personality who often spouts controversy just for reactions, Cowherd's takes aren't always true or accurate.

But when it comes to his recent 2025 NFL standings prediction, Cowherd isn't reaching. He has the Pittsburgh Steelers finishing third in the AFC North behind the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.

Whether or not Aaron Rodgers goes to Pittsburgh or not, they are tone-deaf offensively and over the last five years, they just consistently get bad late in the year.

Mike Tomlin refuses to evolve with the changing NFL landscape and remains far too conservative to be competitive in this modern league. So, no matter which quarterback ends up signing with the Steelers, it's hard to see the offense doing anything different than it always has.

The Steelers could squeak into the playoffs as a Wild Card team, but the lack of creativity from offensive coordinator Arthur Smith will hold them back.

What could change all this is if Aaron Rodgers comes in focused and healthy and runs the show, essentially overriding Tomlin and Smith. All three of those aspects have to fall into place. It's a stretch but not implausible.
