Free agency has been a case of more players leaving than coming to Pittsburgh for the Steelers. The team made a splash with the trade for wide receiver DK Metcalf but movement in free agency has been tame by comparison. Now that one wave of free agency is in the books, we have updated our top seven needs for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2025 NFL draft.

1 - Defensive tackle

The Steelers released Larry Ogunjobi but did not address the absence at all in the first wave of free agency. This puts defensive line at the top of our list.

2 - Quarterback

Even if the Steelers sign Aaron Rodgers or re-sign Russell Wilson, drafting the quarterback of the future is a must here.

3 - Running back

Najee Harris signed a contract with the Los Angeles Chargers but the Steelers haven't replaced him with a veteran, so the Steelers should look to the deep running back class for a feature back.

4 - Offensive guard

We still feel like Isaac Seumalo might be released but even if he doesn't, the team should pick a player to eventually

5 - Cornerback

We like the Darius Slay signing but if a player falls who can bolster depth, the Steelers can afford to take a chance.

6 - Wide receiver

Adding Metcalf pushes this need down but if the Steelers can find a speedster on day three, the pick makes sense.

7 - Offensive tackle

The Steelers have their starters now and do have some interesting depth but this class is deep and several of these guys have the potential to kick inside to guard.
