It was insane. General admission made it somewhat chaotic but it was a great experience

Wow that really takes me back. Although they were a few years older by this time I haven't seen those two since a Hollywood Palace appearance in the mid-60's. I heard later on that he wrote some country songs but the only one I remember was Delta Dawn.

From what I’ve heard they were really gaining momentum in the late 50’s. Lorre was engaged to Ricky Nelson but ran off with another man to get married when she was 16. That broke up the Collins Kids duo until her marriage ended. Larry got back with his big sister and they began to tour again but by then the music scene had shifted dramatically.

I just love Larry’s exuberance. You can see the joy in his face while performing
