Middle Tennessee: Wide receiver Richie James. If we’re discussing some of the unheralded players in the entire country, look no further. James was thrust into a major role as a freshman last season and did it all for the MTSU offense. Despite the injury bug nipping at the Blue Raiders’ skill corps all season, James’ production has once more been through the roof. Watch this kid, and keep tabs on him for the seasons to follow.
Hawaii: Wide receiver Marcus Kemp. A four-year contributor, Kemp saw a downtick in the stat sheet last season following a game-changing sophomore season. He’s back with over 1,000 yards receiving to his credit in 2016, and with the Middle Tennessee State secondary prone to allowing the big play, Kemp’s the primary option for quarterback Dru Brown.
