NMSU hasn't been to a bowl since 1960, by far the longest stretch of futility in D1. Next closest is UAB in 2004 (would have gone before program disbanded, and is bowl eligible this year.

Of the only other pre-2011 droughts, FAU (2008) will go bowling this year, while Kansas (2008) will not.
