The Indianapolis Colts' new free agent additions, including Cam Bynum and Charvarius Ward, have now been assigned numbers with the team for the 2025 NFL season.

Bynum and Ward were the two splash signings that GM Chris Ballard made to help shore up a secondary last season that gave up too many big plays and didn't make enough plays on the football.

Bynum's versatility and ability to wear a variety of hats will suit him well in Lou Anarumo's defense that disguises coverages and can put a lot on the plate of the safety. Ward, meanwhile, is more than comfortable operating on an island, playing press coverage, and following the opponent's top wide receiver.

"We became a better defense today," said Lou Anarumo about the additions of Bynum and Ward.

Beyond those two additions, the Colts also signed quarterback Daniel Jones to provide competition for Anthony Richardson, along with defensive tackle Neville Gallimore, running back Khalil Herbert, and cornerback Corey Ballentine, all of whom bolster the depth at their respective positions.
