Definitely could get close to that considering Forbes had the Commanders at $5.6 billion and they just sold for $6.0 billion.

I don't think it is about money with Bidwill. Not only is it a family tradition/business, but he also thrives on the power and the perceived influence he has that allows him to rub elbows with people he would otherwise have no business meeting/dealing with.

I don't know, but I think the "Commanders" is a bad name for a football team.

I believe they have an opportunity to change the name as new owners.

Football Team started as a joke, but I think it has some charm and support now.

Commies was a terrible name. They could do something really cool, I think Red Wolves is cool and was popular when there was fan voting, but they could go the hogs route. Hopefully nothing bland like Admirals, or Senators, or whatever.

Hopefully they will change it. I'm sure it'll be at least another year though.

Eh, he's always had more money than he could ever spend, but the team gave him a veneer of respectability. Now he'll be reviled forever, and an example of the worst of ownership moving forward.

There are quite a few billionaires, but not all can get in the ultimate club, owning professional sports teams. The prestige is likely what keeps jerks like Bidwill and Snyder in the game.

True, but we're talking about musical celebrities, actors, governors, mayors, and other lawmakers. Influential people he can invite up to his suite. Not all are billionaires.

i think closer to the $6 b than $4b

so much of NFL revenues are shared -- and those have only gone up. While Washington has more local revenue potential -- they also have a terrible stadium situation

I think the population growth rates in AZ and Maricopa county and a good stadium situation would make the values comparable --
