Thanks for all the karmic help, fellas. See you in the Cup round, San Jose. Everyone knows penguins eat sharks. It's their preferred diet. Lots of protein.

I used to respect the Penguins back in the days of Lemieux, Jagr, Recchi, etc but this current version of the Penguins are filled with a bunch of gutless punks led by Cindy Crosby. They're probably going to win because the Sharks are perennial choke artists. surprised they made it this far.

This a different Sharks team than years past. More depth and better goaltending. I think this is finally the year they shed their choker label. Lots of teal being worn in the bay area these days, even with the Warriors in the playoffs. The Pens scare me a bit because they have two players that can take over a game at any time. However, Jumbo and Marleau need a cup before they retire. Sharks in six.

Good luck tonight.

I think the key to this series for the Pens, is the Penguins staying out of the box, and exploiting the Sharks defense.

But, without Trevor Daley for the rest of the playoffs it is going to be tough for the Penguins.

Should be a great series tho, I have a feeling there will be one or two games that will have 10+ goals between the two teams.

Wow. Not sure where the hate comes from. Are you a Cryers or Devils fan, perchance?

No doubt it's a different Sharks team than any in the past. Going into every series, I had a supreme confidence that we'd advance. This time I have no idea. Still think we'll triumph--or at least I hope we will. Here's to a great series

Daley out is a killer, yes. We have to exploit our speed and offense while being quick on defense and getting the puck out of our zone quickly. We can't let the Sharks forecheck us to death, and that becomes harder without Daley. Still, I'm going Pens in 7. Home ice is crucial here, IMO.

This is all you need to know about Cindy Crosby. Grabs Hartnell from behind, Hartnell tries to turn around to slap the stupid out of his punk mouth, then Adams has to come in and fight Crosby's battle(and looks like a girl in doing so slapping and pulling hair) and Crosby runs off like the little punk he is:

So you're a Cryers fan. That's all the explanation I needed. You're honestly going to cry 'Poor Hartnell'? Really? One of the dirtiest players in the league? Yeah, I beat that thug did nothing at all to Crosby over the course of the...game? Hell, his career lol

Has Sid done things he shouldn't? Yes, just like all players have. I particularly disliked the slew-foot he did last round that he didn't get caught for. Is he known for being dirty? Not even close. Will he look to be bailed out when he gets in over his head? Yeah, like just about every other star player will.

I mean, come on. You're using a HARTNELL incident as your proof. That's just funny.

Why ?

Its frickin' hockey. Aww, poor baby fall down go boom ?

Crosby was out for over a year's worth of time with a scary injury to his head and neck, and people were dancing in the streets.

Now the expectation is for him to give a crap about the punishment he dishes out ? Crosby is in a catch-22 situation, always. He is the bad guy regardless, so why care, or bother. I love when he instigates, and draws penalties.

If people don't like it ? Then stop him and the Penguins from winning.

We can't all just get away with throwing glow bracelets on the ice when we are unhappy with things.

Hey, I'm a huge Sid and Pens fan. I just hate it when my own team is dirty, no matter the sport. Now, I'm thrilled he wasn't caught ;)

Its going to be a good series. You could tell the Sharks had never been there before in that first period. Second period was more of the Sharks game and the settled down. Third period was a back and forth. Sharks need to figure out the Pens speed. Going to be an entertaining series.

Definitely going to be a good one. I see it going 7 games, 6 if the Pens really manage to overwhelm them. I disagree about the third period, though. While it started as a back and forth, the Pens ended up dominating that period too. Here's to hoping we can do it again :)

The good vibes from this thread are getting it done, it seems :)

If we take one in San Jose, the Cup is ours, IMO. Which would be nice, to win it in 5, since we've never hoisted the Cup on home ice :)

Note that I am NOT saying this series is over, or even close to it. You listening, hockey gods?

Sharks have no answer for the Pens speed. Defense has been bad and their offense is terrible. They keep dumping the puck back to the point for the defense to just shoot in to a Pens player. They definitely need to make some adjustments or they're done.
