Brandon Tanev will be making his return to Seattle, just nine days after the Jets acquired him at the trade deadline. The 33-year-old played 238 games with the Kraken, scoring 41 goals and 83 points.

In his return to Winnipeg, Tanev has recorded an assist, 10 hits and four blocks in four games. He's averaging over three fewer minutes of ice time with the Jets than he was with the Kraken, but his minutes are pivotal, playing in defensive situations and on the penalty kill.

The Kraken made a pair of big name offseason signings but the moves haven't helped them reach the level they were at during the 2022-23 season. They've been inconsistent offensively and defensively, and it's why they currently rank 28th in the league standings.

With the win on Friday against the Dallas Stars, the Jets have created separation in the Central Division and the Western Conference. Their race for the President's Trophy, however, is alive and well. A 6-1-0 stretch by the Washington Capitals has brought them to a tie with the Jets for 96 points.

As the Jets close in on 100 points, they'll look at Eric Comrie to bring them a step closer. He'll make his 17th start of the season tonight. The 29-year-old has been steady for the Jets, allowing more than three goals just once this year. He's posted a .914SV% and a 2.46GAA.

Across from him will be Joey Daccord, a 28-year-old netminder on pace to participate in 50 games for the second consecutive season. Posting a .908SV% and a 2.68GAA, Daccord has been a bright spot again in another disappointing season.

Puck drop is at 8:00 PM CST at Climate Pledge Arena.
