I say this as a human being and not a Cardinals fan.... Wilson should have been properly checked by an NFL official in that tent. What he did is an embarrassment to the game and the safety practices that are and aren’t in place. The next few plays he did nothing and was even chased down. Could have been a lot worse.

They should’ve taken his helmet away and had him sit for, at the least, a possession.

The Seattle Seahawks are expected to be disciplined for allowing quarterback Russell Wilson to re-enter Thursday's game without going to the locker room after he was removed by an official, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Seattle could be levied a fine of up to $150,000.

The fine is nothing for any team. $150K is like a $1.50 to you and me. If the NFL was serious about this, a team should lose a draft choice or lose the player for a game for violating the policy.

NFL should require Seattle to forfeit the game for using an ineligible player that is the only way that this will stop they should also be suspended for the next six games

I say leave it up to the player, however, said player should be made to sign a waiver. It's like being taken to the hospital and refusing treatment. You have to sign a waiver. Same should apply. The only caveat should be that a player cannot refuse the protocol if he is flat out knocked unconscious. They're grown men. They can make their own decisions.

That actually could have cost us the game. There is a possibility he was concussed. If so he would have had to sit. Just because he came back in doesn't mean he wasn't hurt. Their backup is awful

Wouldn't you agree, though, that if you're concussed, you shouldn't be allowed to make those sort of decisions for yourself?

What they need to do is make Wilson go through the concussion protocol now. He misses however many games he is going to miss PLUS an extra 2 games. Think the seahawks would have let him back on the field if they thought they would lose him for 2 games?

In a hospital though, you have to be of sound mind to refuse treatment. A head injury may dictate otherwise, as you would need to be able to answer proper questions to refuse treatment.

Part of the statement here. Also the protocol will be updated to instruct officials, teammates and coaches to take the player they believe might have been concussed all the way to the medical staff. No more simply sending him off in the direction of docs.

Concussion protocol change (cont'd): A player who exhibits impact seizure symptoms is ruled out for the game, which is the protocol for any player who loses consciousness.

Concussion protocol change (cont'd): A player who is evaluated for a concussion must be re-evaluated within 24 hours even if the player has an off day or passed the test when first administered.

Without Wilson, we no doubt win that game. Penalty should be stiffer. Should have to sit out an extra game once he passes protocol.
