Great game--tight throughout except final minutes of the fourth. Defense by Suns was great. Shaq looked like old self again.

I think this is a turn around game for the Suns. They found the best way to use Shaq and will be a beast again in the play-offs.

Again--congrats--I know this game meant a lot to you guys.

(It did to us, too--Lakers will pull ahead even more now)

its a shame the top 8 teams in the west are gonna have to beat each other up on one side of the bracket

it is huge. a normal win is great too, but against the defending champs it's sweeter. gotta ask though, what's the reaction on the spurs board when shaq refused duncan's hand? i know there's gonna be mixed reactions concerning this...

I couldn't agree more! There are only two kinds of NBA players: San Antonio Spurs and whiny jerks with no class.*

P.S. - Re: Your name. Do you make shoes or do you like to eat pies? I'm guessing it's the latter? In which case, that could explain quite a bit. :)

My favorite is the likely complaining about the blocking foul on KT that would have been Amare's 6th. Sure, the officials got that call wrong, but if they hadn't whistled Amare for a bogus 5th foul on the flop by Bowen then the one with KT would have only been Amare's 5th, and thus, he still wouldn't have fouled out.

im not a spurs fan. just think it was a classless move. I am amazed by how many posters here... especially you beeboy... that when offered a differing opinion turn it personal. Go figure

Oddly enough, this is exactly how good NBA games are officiated. Ideally, the refs get every call right. But in the absence of perfection, well, they call them "make-up calls" for a reason. ;)

Yeah, overall the officiating I think tends to even out, but man it's frustrating when the bad calls against your team happen at the most crucial points in the game.

Geeeeeez. Fouls go both ways. Sometimes they go for you, othertimes not. If your season and/or teams sucess is a direct result of the officiating.... you have problems.

You had a good victory, well fought, tight game, and actually got some pretty favorable calls in the last 3 to 4 mins. Officiating had nothing to do with the outcome of this game.

I think two glaring points to be looked at was the suns terrible 3pt shooting vs the spurs terrible finishes on the bunnies.

good game

Oh yes, far be it from me to question you for making a completely off-topic snipe at O'Neal in the most inappropriate thread possible. You would probably do well to emulate the original poster, who is a fan of another team and yet still comports himself with dignity and respect for Suns fans on their own forum.

And you didn't answer my question. Do you make shoes or do you just like to eat a lot of pies? I'm just curious. :)

if someone shoots you in the leg on the other side would you wan't one of the soldiers who shot you on the side to help you up I think not. I actually think Shaq doing that energized the suns the rest of the game

I never said officiating decided the outcome of this game, I was merely commenting on what I'm sure is a thought process by some Spurs fans right now.

I agree, the three point shooting is the biggest issue, though knowing that if they had made just a few more they probably win the game comfortably is a nice thought to have.

that's what i meant by mixed reactions (it's really easy to perceive it that way). although, of course i'm a shaq fan, so i consider it competitive ;)

I hear you French.... and to some point i can agree... but say it was my son out there, id tell him you acknowledge the jesture and even tell him on the way up how your going to crush him next time down the floor. It wasnt like it was some thug for gosh sake...it was duncan.

Just my opinion.

Off topic snipe at O'Neal? French fries brought the question up.... i simply replied with my opinion. Again, whenever you hear an opinion that doesnt support yours... you turn it into a personal attack.

As for my screen name... its a play on my real name... shoemaker. Does that explain enough for you beeboy?

as usual your incredibly poor grammar and punctuation make your post incomprehensible.

anyway the officiating was just fine in my opinion. I don't mind if the refs make mistakes, as long as they make the same mistakes throughout the whole game and for both sides.

Ah, here we go! This is what I really wanted to know. And I'm disappointed, frankly. :( I thought we had ourselves an eater!

The way I look at it is "who cares?" This was a playoff atmosphere against a team that has ALWAYS intimidated us.

Granted it was a nice gesture Duncan was making, but you gotta understand why Shaq didn't take his hand.

I agree. If somebody extends their hand to help you up, you take it.

I dunno, I mean, if Duncan was a classy guy on the court it would be one thing, but he's really not, so why should Shaq oblige there?

I have absolutely no problem with Shaq waiting for his teammates, the ones he's not competing against, the ones he goes to battle with, to help him up.

Shaq sent a powerful message to Timmy and the Spurs by not taking his hand. I thought that was great
