JG, I won't go on record with the "jerk" thing, I still like JT and don't dislike him for leaving. But yeah. Big ups to Ryan!!!! Bout the only thing we have to cheer for this year. Stupid Phillies!

I remember Ryan Howard from AZ Fall League just a couple years ago -- and he was a big monster bat then, just waiting for a place to clear out in Philly for him to go up.

I like Charles; he speaks his mind. Personally, I have met Mike Schmidt and know many others who have as well and the consensus is that, although he was a great player, he was and is a total jackass.

Jim Thome had to go. I would wager TONS OF MONEY that I have seen way more Phillies games that you have. Just a guess. The Phillies are NOTORIOUS for keeping potential superstars in the lower levels. Howard is one of those players. Thome is doing better now cause he's basically DH-ing. As of the weekend, Ryan Howard was leading the NL in HRs AND HE FIELDS. Long term, who do you want? Be honest.
Was letting TO go a mistake? Eric Lindros? And, before you bring up the likelihood that A.I. will be traded, know that I know NO ONE HERE who wants that guy gone. (Of course, you probably thinks he's cancer. I, too, can assume things.)
I don't give a Jake Plummer's rat's ass what you or anyone else in the freaking country thinks of me or other Philly fans. There is passion here.
I think it is absolutely ridiculous that you turned this into a "bash Philly fans" thread simply cause I called Thome a jerk (a statement I later retracked).
